동해 아이들 600명 한자리에… ‘방구왕 뮤지컬’로 배우는 생존 안전교육, 부모들 “이건 꼭 필요하다”

동해교육지원청(교육장 서순원)은 4월 1일, 동해시평생학습관에서 지역 내 공·사립유치원 원아 600명을 대상으로 안전교육을 실시했다. 이날 공간은 단순한 교육장이 아니라, 아이들의 웃음과 배움이 어우러진 ‘안전의 놀이터’로 바뀌었다.

The Donghae Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Soon-won) held a safety education program on April 1 at the Donghae Lifelong Learning Center for 600 kindergarten children from both public and private institutions. The venue transformed into more than just a classroom—it became a “playground of safety” where laughter and learning came together.

이번 교육은 ‘2026 동해 더 나은 교육지구’ 사업의 일환으로 마련되었으며, 유아들이 안전의 중요성을 머리가 아닌 몸으로 느끼고 기억할 수 있도록 기획됐다. 하루 두 차례 진행된 프로그램은 아이들의 집중력과 참여도를 고려해 구성되었다.

This program was part of the “2026 Better Education District Donghae” initiative, designed to help children understand safety not just intellectually but physically and emotionally. Conducted twice a day, the sessions were carefully structured to match the children’s attention span and engagement levels.

특히 ‘연희는 방구왕’ 공연은 아이들이 직접 참여하는 뮤지컬 형식으로 진행되어 큰 호응을 얻었다. 아이들은 웃고 뛰고 따라 하며 자연스럽게 위험 상황을 인지하고, 스스로를 지키는 방법을 익혀갔다. 교육은 설명이 아닌 경험으로 완성됐다.

The highlight of the program, the musical “Yeonhee the Fart King,” invited children to actively participate, drawing enthusiastic responses. Through laughter, movement, and interaction, the children naturally learned to recognize dangerous situations and how to protect themselves. The lesson was completed not through explanation, but through experience.

#서순원 교육장은 “어릴 때부터 모든 생명의 소중함을 배우고, 스스로를 지키는 힘을 기르는 것이 중요하다”며 “아이들이 안전하게 성장할 수 있도록 지속적이고 내실 있는 교육을 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Superintendent Seo Soon-won emphasized, “It is important for children to learn the value of life from an early age and develop the ability to protect themselves. We will continue to provide meaningful and consistent safety education to support their healthy growth.”

안전은 가르치는 것이 아니라, 함께 만들어가는 것

이날 교육은 단순한 하루의 행사로 끝나지 않는다. 아이들이 몸으로 익힌 작은 습관 하나하나가 모여, 결국 도시 전체의 안전 문화를 만든다. ‘아이를 품은 마을 그린존 동해’는 그렇게, 오늘도 조금씩 완성되고 있다.

This program does not end as a one-day event. Each small habit learned by the children contributes to building a broader culture of safety in the city. “Green Zone Donghae, a village that embraces children,” is being shaped little by little—starting today.
