“종량제봉투 대란? 동해시 ‘1년치 확보’ 전격 공개… 가격 인상 없다”

최근 원자재(나프타) 가격 상승과 관련하여 종량제 봉투 사재기 및 구매 제한 사례가 발생하고 있다. 점검 결과, 동해시는 종량제봉투 약 1년치 물량을 확보한 상태로, 통상적인 수요 범위 내에서는 안정적인 공급이 가능한 것으로 확인됐다.

Recently, amid rising raw material (naphtha) prices, cases of panic buying and purchase limits for standard garbage bags have been reported. However, following an inspection, Donghae City confirmed that it has secured approximately one year’s supply, ensuring stable distribution within normal demand levels.

국제 정세에 따른 원자재(나프타) 가격 상승으로 종량제봉투 수급이 어려워지고 가격 상승이 우려된다는 언론 보도가 이어지면서 일부 판매처에서는 사재기 및 구매 수량 제한 사례가 발생하고 있다.

As global conditions drive up naphtha prices, media reports have raised concerns over potential supply shortages and price hikes. This has led some retailers to impose purchase limits and has triggered panic buying among consumers.

이에 동해시는 종량제봉투 수급 상황을 점검한 결과, 현재 약 1년치 물량 확보가 가능한 상황으로 통상적인 수요 범위 내에서는 시민들에게 안정적인 공급이 가능한 것으로 확인됐다.

In response, Donghae City conducted a review of supply conditions and confirmed that it currently holds enough inventory to last approximately one year, allowing for stable supply under normal consumption patterns.

#박화경 환경과장은 “금년 종량제봉투 가격 인상 계획은 없으므로 시민들께서는 불필요한 사재기를 자제해 주시길 바란다”며 “필요 이상으로 한꺼번에 구매할 경우 일시적인 품절 상황이 발생할 수 있는 만큼 차분한 이용을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.

Park Hwa-gyeong, Head of the Environment Division, stated, “There are no plans to increase the price of standard garbage bags this year. We ask citizens to refrain from unnecessary bulk purchasing,” adding, “Buying more than needed at once may cause temporary shortages, so we urge calm and reasonable purchasing behavior.”

동해시는 앞으로도 원료 수급 동향과 시장 상황을 지속적으로 점검하는 등 종량제봉투 수급 안정화를 위해 선제적으로 대응해 나갈 계획이다.
