강원특별자치도, ‘2026 내나라 여행박람회’ 대상… 3년 연속 수상 쾌거

강원특별자치도(도지사 김진태)와 강원특별자치도관광협회(회장 장석삼)가 문화체육관광부와 한국관광협회중앙회가 공동 주최한 ‘2026 내나라 여행박람회’에서 대상을 수상했다.

이번 수상으로 강원특별자치도는 2024년 대상, 2025년 최우수상에 이어 3년 연속 수상이라는 성과를 달성하며 국내 관광 선도 지역으로서의 위상을 다시 한 번 입증했다.

‘2026 내나라 여행박람회’는 3월 19일부터 22일까지 4일간 서울 마곡 코엑스에서 개최됐으며, 국내외 관광 유관기관 및 지자체 160여 개가 참여하고 총 385개 부스 규모로 운영됐다. 이번 박람회는 국내 여행상품 발굴과 이벤트를 통한 관광 활성화를 목표로 진행됐다.

강원특별자치도는 ‘여행의 모든 것! 강원 TRAVEL MALL’이라는 콘셉트로 홍보관을 운영하며 강원의 대표 관광지와 다양한 방문 혜택을 집중적으로 소개했다.

특히 도내 18개 시군이 통합 홍보부스를 구성해 타 시도와 차별화를 꾀했으며, 시군별로 2시간씩 진행된 참여형 이벤트(지역 음식 시식 등)는 관람객의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

또한 영월군과 연계해 단종문화제를 홍보하며 최근 화제를 모은 콘텐츠를 관광 수요로 연결하려는 전략도 주목을 받았다.

“이번 박람회는 대한민국 관광수도로서 강원의 위상을 널리 알리는 계기가 됐다”며

“앞으로 도와 시군 간 협력을 강화해 글로벌 관광수도로 도약해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gangwon State (Governor Kim Jin-tae), together with the Gangwon Tourism Association (Chairman Jang Seok-sam), won the Grand Prize at the “2026 Korea Travel Expo,” jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Association of Travel Agents.

With this achievement, Gangwon has secured three consecutive years of recognition—Grand Prize in 2024, Excellence Award in 2025, and Grand Prize again in 2026—solidifying its leadership in Korea’s tourism industry.

The “2026 Korea Travel Expo” was held from March 19 to 22 at COEX Magok in Seoul, featuring around 160 domestic and international tourism organizations and local governments, with a total of 385 booths. The event aimed to promote domestic travel products and stimulate tourism through various programs and promotions.

Gangwon State operated its promotional booth under the theme “Everything About Travel! Gangwon TRAVEL MALL,” showcasing its unique destinations and special travel benefits.

Notably, all 18 cities and counties in Gangwon jointly participated in a unified exhibition booth, setting it apart from other regions. Interactive events—such as regional food tastings—were held every two hours, drawing strong engagement from visitors.

In addition, Gangwon collaborated with Yeongwol County to promote the Danjong Cultural Festival, linking popular cultural content with tourism demand.
