동해시, 전국 최대 규모 ‘2026 춘계 전국 남녀 하키대회’ 개최

Donghae City to Host Korea’s Largest 2026 Spring National Men’s & Women’s Hockey Championship

동해시는 오는 3월 23일부터 4월 4일까지 13일간 웰빙레포츠타운 내 썬라이즈 국제하키경기장에서 ‘2026 춘계 전국 남녀 하키대회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

Donghae City announced that it will host the “2026 Spring National Men’s & Women’s Hockey Championship” for 13 days from March 23 to April 4 at the Sunrise International Hockey Stadium located in the Well-being Leports Town.

이번 대회는 대한하키협회와 동해시하키협회가 공동 주관하며, 전국 39개 팀, 약 800여 명의 선수단이 참가해 남중·여중·남고·여고·남대·여대·일반부 등 총 8개 부문에서 치열한 경쟁을 펼칠 예정이다.

The event, jointly organized by the Korea Hockey Association and the Donghae City Hockey Association, will feature 39 teams and approximately 800 athletes competing across eight divisions, including middle school, high school, university, and general categories for both men and women.

경기는 일반부의 경우 리그전 방식으로, 그 외 종별은 조별 리그전 방식으로 진행된다.

Matches will be conducted in a league format for the general division, while other categories will follow a group-stage league format.

동해시는 이미 하키 전지훈련지로서의 입지를 다지고 있다. 지난 1~2월에도 전국 5개 팀, 100여 명의 선수단이 동계 전지훈련을 위해 동해시를 방문했다.

Donghae City has already established itself as a premier destination for hockey training camps. Earlier this year, from January to February, five teams with around 100 athletes visited the city for winter training.

시는 이번 대회를 통해 전국 하키 저변 확대는 물론, 지역 이미지 제고와 관광 활성화에도 긍정적인 효과를 기대하고 있다.

The city expects the tournament to not only expand the popularity of hockey nationwide but also enhance its regional image and boost local tourism.

#천수정 체육교육과장은 “선수들이 최고의 환경에서 실력을 발휘할 수 있도록 준비에 만전을 기했다”며 “앞으로도 전국대회와 전지훈련 유치를 통해 스포츠 중심 도시로 도약하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Cheon Su-jeong, head of the Sports Education Division, stated, “We have made thorough preparations to ensure athletes can perform at their best in top-class conditions,” adding, “We will continue to attract national tournaments and training camps to establish Donghae as a leading sports city.”
