“바다 보며 일한다”… 동해시 워케이션 ‘Work in 동해!’ 3월부터 운영

동해시가 일과 휴식을 동시에 즐길 수 있는 워케이션 프로그램 「Work in 동해!」를 3월부터 12월까지 운영한다. 단, 여름 성수기인 7~8월은 제외된다.

Donghae City will operate the “Work in Donghae!” workation program from March to December, excluding the peak summer season of July and August.

이번 사업은 기존의 단기 관광 중심에서 벗어나 장기 체류형 관광을 활성화하기 위해 추진되는 프로그램으로, 참가자들은 동해의 아름다운 자연 속에서 업무와 휴식을 동시에 경험할 수 있다.

The program aims to promote stay-type tourism, moving beyond short visits and encouraging longer stays. Participants can work while enjoying the scenic natural environment of Donghae.

두 곳에서 운영되며, 업무 공간은 망상컨벤션센터가 제공된다.

Donghae Ocean City Residence

Participants can use Mangsang Convention Center as their office workspace.

또한 서핑 체험, 힐링 프로그램 등 동해만의 관광 콘텐츠를 연계해 일과 여행이 함께하는 새로운 라이프스타일 관광을 제공할 계획이다.

In addition, various tourism activities such as surfing and healing experiences will be connected with the program, offering a unique lifestyle travel experience combining work and leisure.

지난해 119명 참여… 조기 마감 인기

2025년에는 총 119명이 프로그램에 참여했으며, 모집 인원이 조기에 마감될 정도로 높은 관심을 받았다.

In 2025, a total of 119 participants joined the program, and the registration closed early due to high demand.
