동해해수청, 동해안 사설항로표지 81기 상반기 관리점검 실시… 해상안전 강화

동해해수청, 2026년 상반기 사설항로표지 관리실태 지도점검 실시
Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries to Conduct Inspection of Private Aids to Navigation in the First Half of 2026

동해지방해양수산청(청장 김채균)은 관할 구역인 동해안의 안전한 해상교통 환경을 조성하고 선박의 해양사고를 예방하기 위해 3월 9일부터 4월 30일까지 사설항로표지 81기에 대한 관리실태 지도점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries (Director Kim Chaegyun) announced that it will conduct an inspection of 81 privately operated aids to navigation from March 9 to April 30 in order to enhance maritime traffic safety along the East Coast and prevent marine accidents involving vessels.

사설항로표지는 항로표지법령에 따라 국가 이외의 기관이나 사업자가 자신의 사업 또는 업무를 위해 해상에 설치하는 항로표지(등대, 등부표 등)를 말한다.

Privately operated aids to navigation refer to navigation facilities such as lighthouses and light buoys installed at sea by entities other than the government for their own business or operational purposes, in accordance with the Aids to Navigation Act.

현재 동해해수청 관내에서는 동해시 등 32개 지역에서 총 135기의 사설항로표지가 운영되고 있으며, 선박의 안전한 항해를 지원하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.

Currently, a total of 135 private aids to navigation are in operation across 32 locations, including Donghae City, within the jurisdiction of the Donghae office, playing an important role in supporting safe navigation of vessels.

이번 상반기 실태점검은 사설항로표지를 소유한 16개 지자체 및 기업 등을 대상으로 실시되며, 항로표지의 기능 유지 상태와 관리 실태, 관련 법령 및 허가사항 이행 여부, 법정 예비품 보유 현황, 장비·용품의 정기검사 여부 등을 중점적으로 확인할 예정이다.

The inspection will target 16 local governments and companies that own private aids to navigation, focusing on the operational condition of the facilities, management status, compliance with relevant laws and permits, availability of legally required spare equipment, and whether periodic inspections of equipment and supplies have been conducted.

점검 과정에서 위반사항이 확인될 경우 즉시 시정조치를 요청할 계획이다.

If any violations are identified during the inspection, immediate corrective actions will be requested.

또한 사설항로표지 소유자와 위탁관리사의 애로사항을 청취하고 기술 지원을 제공함으로써 사설항로표지의 체계적인 관리와 운영을 강화하고 선박 안전사고 예방에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

In addition, by listening to the concerns of facility owners and contracted managers and providing technical support, the office expects to strengthen systematic management of private aids to navigation and contribute to the prevention of maritime accidents.

동해해수청 관계자는 “이번 상반기 사설항로표지 관리실태 지도점검을 철저히 실시해 항로표지의 안정성과 신뢰성을 확보하고, 보다 안전한 해상교통 환경을 조성하기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

An official from the Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries stated, “We will carry out thorough inspections of private aids to navigation in the first half of the year to secure their stability and reliability and continue our efforts to create a safer maritime traffic environment.”
