강원중등교장협의회는 강원중등교장협의회 회장에 강릉정보공업고등학교 최기원 교장이 오는 2026년 3월 1일 자로 취임해 2년간의 임기를 시작한다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon Secondary School Principals Association announced that Principal Choi Ki-won of Gangneung Information Technical High School will assume office as its new president on March 1, 2026, beginning a two-year term.

강원중등교장협의회는 강원 지역 교육의 특수성을 반영하고, 학교 현장의 목소리를 대변하는 중추적인 협의체로 평가받고 있다.

The association is recognized as a pivotal body representing the voices of secondary school leaders and reflecting the unique characteristics of education in Gangwon Province.

신임 최기원 회장은 강릉고등학교와 강원대학교 를 졸업하고, 강원대학교 교육대학원에서 석사 학위를 취득한 교육 전문가다.

The newly appointed President Choi graduated from Gangneung High School and Kangwon National University, and earned a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Education at Kangwon National University.

풍부한 교육 현장 경험과 전문성을 갖춘 그는 현재 강릉정보공업고등학교 교장으로 재직하며 지역 인재 양성에 힘쓰고 있다.

With extensive field experience and professional expertise, he currently serves as principal of Gangneung Information Technical High School, leading efforts to nurture local talent.

최기원 회장은 취임 소감을 통해 “급변하는 교육 환경 속에서 우리 학생들이 미래를 향한 핵심 역량을 안정적으로 키워갈 수 있도록 학교 현장을 지원하는 든든한 버팀목이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.

In his inaugural remarks, Choi stated, “Amid rapidly changing educational environments, I will serve as a steadfast supporter of school communities so that our students can steadily build the core competencies needed for the future.”

이어 “협의회를 더욱 활발히 운영해 회원 간 소통과 협력을 강화하고, 교육 현장의 생생한 정보와 경험을 공유함으로써 강원 교육 발전에 기여하겠다”고 강조했다.

He further emphasized, “By actively operating the association, strengthening communication and collaboration among members, and sharing vivid information and experiences from school sites, I will contribute to the advancement of education in Gangwon.”
