동해시, 관광종합개발계획 최종보고회 개최

동해시는 26일 관광종합개발계획 수립용역 최종보고회를 열고 권역별 관광전략과 실행방안을 점검했다.

Donghae City held the final review meeting on the 26th for its Comprehensive Tourism Development Plan, reviewing regional tourism strategies and implementation measures.

보고회에서는 5대 권역 관광지를 하나의 스토리와 동선으로 연결하는 ‘감성 문화관광 벨트’ 구상이 제시됐다. 묵호항·논골담길·동호책방마을 등 묵호권역 활성화 성과를 확장하는 연계 전략도 논의됐다.

The meeting introduced a plan to connect five major tourism zones into a unified “Emotional Cultural Tourism Belt” through integrated storytelling and travel routes. Strategies to expand the revitalization achievements of the Mukho area—including Mukho Port, Nongol Damgil, and Dongho Book Village—were also discussed.

심규언 시장은 강평에서 최근 KTX 동해선 고속화 예비타당성조사 통과에 따른 접근성 개선을 관광 도약의 계기로 활용해야 한다고 강조했다. 관광객 유입 증가가 체류와 소비로 이어질 수 있도록 숙박·야간·골목 콘텐츠 연계의 중요성을 주문했다.

In his remarks, Mayor Shim Kyu-eon emphasized that the recent preliminary feasibility approval of the KTX Donghae Line high-speed project should be leveraged as a turning point for tourism growth. He stressed the importance of linking accommodations, nighttime programs, and alleyway content to convert increased visitor numbers into longer stays and higher local spending.

특히 관광 인프라가 시민 소득과 직결될 수 있도록 5대 권역별 관광 개발을 공고히 하고, 지역의 산업 자원과 자연생태, 안보 역사, 해양레저 관광을 유기적으로 연계하는 임팩트 있는 전략을 추진할 것을 강조했다.

He further highlighted the need to strengthen tourism development in each of the five zones so that tourism infrastructure directly contributes to citizens’ income. An impactful strategy linking industrial resources, natural ecosystems, security history, and marine leisure tourism in an integrated manner was also underscored.

이는 중간보고회에서 제시된 ‘숙박으로 연결되는 관광 동선 설계’ 필요성을 재확인한 것이다.

This reaffirms the necessity of designing tourism routes that naturally lead to overnight stays, as previously proposed in the interim report.

또 『트렌드코리아 2026』의 ‘필(Feel)코노미’ 개념을 반영한 체험·공감형 관광콘텐츠 강화 방향도 강조됐다. 동해형 필코노미는 자연·산업·골목·주민 이야기를 직접 걷고 머물며 경험하는 체류형 관광경제 모델을 의미한다.

The plan also reflects the “Feel-economy” concept from Trend Korea 2026, emphasizing experiential and empathy-driven tourism content. The Donghae-style Feel-economy refers to a stay-oriented tourism economy model where visitors walk through, stay in, and directly experience the city’s nature, industries, alleyways, and local stories.

산과 바다가 어우러진 감성 문화관광 벨트를 통해 권역 간 이동·체류·소비를 연결하는 구조가 핵심이다.

The core strategy lies in creating a seamless structure that connects mobility, stay, and consumption across regions through an emotional cultural tourism belt harmonizing mountains and sea.

동해시는 관광종합계획을 바탕으로 고속교통망과 연계한 체류형 관광 및 숙박 인프라 확충을 단계적으로 추진할 방침이다.

Based on the comprehensive plan, Donghae City plans to gradually expand stay-oriented tourism programs and accommodation infrastructure in connection with the high-speed transportation network.
