유·초 이음교육의 날개를 펼치다

강원특별자치도교육청은 지난 3년간의 유·초 이음교육 협력체계 구축 성과를 바탕으로, 2026년에는 교육과정 연계의 내실화와 현장 중심 지원 강화를 위한 ‘2026 유·초 이음교육 운영’을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon State Office of Education announced that, based on the achievements of establishing a kindergarten–elementary articulation system over the past three years, it will fully implement the “2026 Kindergarten–Elementary Articulation Education Plan,” focusing on strengthening curriculum alignment and enhancing field-based support.

도교육청은 유·초 이음교육 확대를 위해 시범운영 기관을 단계적으로 확대하고 협력체계를 지속적으로 구축해 왔다.

2023학년도 20개 원(교), 2024학년도 42개 원(교), 2025학년도 84개 원(교)로 운영 대상을 점진적으로 늘려왔다.

To expand articulation education, the Office of Education has gradually increased pilot institutions and strengthened cooperative systems. The program involved 20 kindergartens and elementary schools in 2023, 42 in 2024, and 84 in 2025.

2026학년도에는 도내 324개 유치원 중 273개 원이 262개 초등학교와 협력체계를 구축해 운영하며, 51개 원은 자체적으로 이음교육을 운영할 예정이다.

그 결과, 도내 초등학교의 84.3%가 협력체계를 구축하는 성과를 거두었다.

In 2026, among the 324 kindergartens in the province, 273 will operate in cooperation with 262 elementary schools, while 51 kindergartens will independently implement articulation education. As a result, 84.3% of elementary schools in the province have established cooperative systems.

도교육청은 2023년부터 이음교육 설명회, 사례 나눔회, 컨설팅 등을 꾸준히 운영해 현장의 이해도를 높이고 실행력을 강화해왔다.

Since 2023, the Office has continuously organized briefing sessions, case-sharing meetings, and consulting programs to enhance understanding in the field and strengthen implementation capacity.

2026년 이음교육은 △지역·기관 실정에 맞는 운영계획 수립 △유·초 이음교육 편성 유형의 통합 또는 병행 운영 △유치원과 초등학교 교원의 학습공동체 운영 및 연수·사례 나눔을 통한 역량 강화 △보호자 교육 및 홍보 △유아의 변화와 학부모·교원의 인식 변화 및 만족도 모니터링 등 운영 평가를 중심으로 추진된다.

The 2026 articulation education plan will focus on:

△ establishing operation plans tailored to regional and institutional contexts,

△ integrating or concurrently operating articulation curriculum models,

△ strengthening teachers’ competencies through professional learning communities, training, and case-sharing,

△ providing parent education and public relations,

△ and evaluating outcomes by monitoring children’s development as well as changes in parents’ and teachers’ perceptions and satisfaction.

#탁진원 유초등교육과장은 “2026년 이음교육은 단순한 교육과정 연결을 넘어 유아의 성장을 중심에 둔 실질적 연계교육으로 발전할 것”이라며 “현장과 함께 만들어가는 지속 가능한 이음교육 체계를 구축하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Tak Jin-won, Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, stated, “In 2026, articulation education will go beyond merely connecting curricula and evolve into a practical, growth-centered linkage focused on children’s development. We will establish a sustainable articulation system created together with the field.”
