강원 청정 산림자원, K-바이오 타고 세계로!

강원특별자치도 산림과학연구원이 도내 산림바이오 유망 기업 닥터오레고닌과 손잡고 강원 산림 특화 수종을 활용한 고기능성 바이오 신소재 개발 및 산업화에 나선다.

The Gangwon State Forest Science Research Institute has joined hands with Dr. Oreganin, a promising forest-bio company in the province, to develop and commercialize high-functional bio new materials using Gangwon’s specialized forest species.

강원특별자치도 산림과학연구원은 2월 13일(금), (주)닥터오레고닌과 ‘강원 산림자원 유래 고기능성 바이오 소재 개발 및 글로벌 시장 개척을 위한 공동연구 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

On Friday, February 13, the institute announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Oreganin for joint research on developing high-functional bio materials derived from Gangwon forest resources and for expanding into global markets.

이번 협약은 강원자치도의 풍부한 산림 자원과 닥터오레고닌의 천연물 신소재 연구개발(R&D) 역량을 결합해, 단순 자원 추출을 넘어 세계 시장에서 경쟁 가능한 고부가가치 ‘그린 바이오’ 제품을 상용화하기 위해 마련됐다.

The agreement aims to combine Gangwon’s abundant forest resources with Dr. Oreganin’s advanced R&D capabilities in natural bio-materials to commercialize high value-added “green bio” products that can compete in the global market, going beyond simple raw material extraction.

양 기관은 도내 자생 수목을 활용한 △근감소증 예방 △항비만 △탈모 완화 기능성 소재 공동 연구를 추진하고, 산림바이오 원료의 안정적인 공급 체계 구축과 글로벌 인증 취득, 해외 공동 마케팅에도 적극 협력하기로 했다.

The two institutions agreed to collaborate on joint research into functional materials for sarcopenia prevention, anti-obesity, and hair loss relief using native tree species in the province, while also establishing a stable supply system for forest bio raw materials, acquiring global certifications, and conducting joint overseas marketing.

특히 연구원은 올해 말 준공 예정인 ‘강원 산림바이오센터’를 거점으로 고품질 원료의 대량 증식 기술을 지원할 계획이며, 기업은 이를 바탕으로 건강기능식품 및 기능성 화장품 등 완제품을 생산해 글로벌 시장에 선보일 방침이다.

 In particular, the institute plans to support mass propagation technologies for high-quality raw materials through the Gangwon Forest Bio Center, scheduled for completion later this year. The company will utilize these materials to manufacture finished products such as health functional foods and functional cosmetics for the global market.

#채병문 강원특별자치도 산림과학연구원장은 “이번 협약은 강원의 숲이 단순한 녹지를 넘어 도민에게 실질적 소득을 창출하는 ‘돈이 되는 산림’으로 도약하는 중요한 전환점”이라며 “우수 기업과의 협력을 통해 강원 산림 자원의 가치를 세계에 알리겠다”고 밝혔다.

 Director Chae Byung-moon stated, “This agreement marks a significant turning point in transforming Gangwon’s forests from simple green spaces into income-generating assets for residents. Through collaboration with outstanding companies, we will promote the value of Gangwon’s forest resources worldwide.”
