행정안전부·카카오·현대오토에버 협업 동해시, 국내 최초 ‘주차면 단위 안내’ 스마트 주차 시연회 개최

동해시가 주차장 입구가 아닌 개별 주차면까지 길을 안내하는 스마트 주차 서비스를 오는 12일 시연한다. 이번 서비스는 국내 최초로 ‘주차면 단위’까지 실시간 안내를 구현한 사례다.

Donghae City will demonstrate a smart parking service on the 12th that guides drivers not only to a parking lot entrance but directly to an individual parking space. This marks the first case in Korea to implement real-time guidance at the “individual parking-space level.”

시연회는 2월 12일 오전 10시 30분부터 11시 30분까지 동해시청 안전정보센터 회의실과 발한동행정복지센터 일원에서 진행된다. 개회 및 사업보고는 안전정보센터 회의실에서, 실제 주행 시연은 발한동행정복지센터 인근에서 이루어진다.

The demonstration will be held on February 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The opening session and project briefing will take place at the Safety Information Center conference room, followed by a live driving demonstration near the Balhan-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

이번 사업은 2025년 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘주소기반 주차정보 구축 및 융·복합 서비스 모델 실증’ 공모사업의 일환으로 추진됐다. 동해시는 행정안전부, 카카오, 현대오토에버와 협업해 서비스를 구축했다.

The project is part of the 2025 public contest initiative led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety titled “Address-Based Parking Information Infrastructure and Convergence Service Model Demonstration.” Donghae City developed the service in collaboration with the Ministry, Kakao, and Hyundai AutoEver.

시는 묵호항 인근 공영주차장 6개소, 총 630면에 주차면 단위 주소체계를 구축하고 위치센서와 공간정보 데이터를 결합해 실시간 주차 정보를 반영하는 안내 서비스를 구현했다.

The city established an address system at the individual parking-space level across six public parking lots near Mukho Port, covering a total of 630 spaces. By integrating location sensors with spatial information data, the system provides real-time parking availability guidance.

기존 내비게이션이 주차장 입구나 지번 단위까지만 안내하던 것과 달리, 이번 서비스는 ‘현재 비어 있는 주차면’까지 정확한 경로 안내가 가능하다. 시연에서는 전기차 아이오닉5와 EV9 차량이 실제 주행을 통해 기능을 선보일 예정이다.

Unlike conventional navigation systems that guide drivers only to a parking lot entrance or land-lot address, this new service directs users to an available parking space in real time. During the demonstration, electric vehicles IONIQ 5 and EV9 will showcase the system through actual driving.

시는 앞서 공영주차장 200개소, 약 1만 면에 대한 공간정보 데이터 구축을 완료해 향후 서비스 확대 기반도 마련했다.

Previously, the city completed spatial data mapping for approximately 10,000 parking spaces across 200 public parking lots, laying the groundwork for future service expansion.

이번 실증사업은 주소정보 정책과 지자체 공간데이터, 민간 내비게이션 기술을 연계한 민관 협업 모델로 평가된다. 동해시는 관광객 증가에 대비해 교통 편의 서비스 고도화를 지속 추진하고 있다.

The pilot project is evaluated as a model of public-private collaboration, integrating national address information policy, municipal spatial data, and private-sector navigation technology. Donghae City continues to advance smart transportation services in preparation for increasing tourist traffic.

시는 이번 서비스 도입을 통해 주차 편의 향상은 물론, 배회 주행 감소에 따른 교통 혼잡 완화와 탄소 배출 저감 효과를 기대하고 있다. 향후 적용 범위는 단계적으로 확대될 계획이다.

Through the introduction of this service, the city expects enhanced parking convenience, reduced traffic congestion from cruising vehicles searching for parking, and lower carbon emissions. The scope of the service will be gradually expanded in the future.

#이인섭 안전과장은 “주차면 단위 주소체계 구축은 시민이 체감할 수 있는 스마트 교통서비스 구현이라는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “시연 결과를 바탕으로 서비스 완성도를 높이고 적용 범위를 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee In-seop, Director of the Safety Division, stated, “Establishing an address system at the parking-space level is significant in that it delivers a tangible smart transportation service for citizens. Based on the demonstration results, we will enhance service quality and steadily expand its application.”
