동해문화관광재단, 도째비골 스카이밸리 200만 명 돌파 기념 이벤트 진행

동해시 대표 체험형 관광지인 도째비골 스카이밸리가 누적 방문객 200만 명을 돌파하며 의미 있는 이정표를 세웠다.

Dottaebigol Sky Valley, one of Donghae City’s signature experiential tourist attractions, has surpassed 2 million cumulative visitors, marking a significant milestone.

동해문화관광재단(대표이사 정연수)은 이번 성과를 기념하고 관광객 유입을 더욱 확대하기 위해 특별 할인 이벤트를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Culture & Tourism Foundation (CEO Jeong Yeon-su) announced a special promotional event to commemorate this achievement and further boost visitor numbers.

체험형 콘텐츠 중심 관광지로 자리매김

Established as a Leading Experiential Tourism Destination

도째비골 스카이밸리는 해랑전망대, 스카이워크, 자이언트 슬라이드, 스카이사이클 등 다양한 체험형 시설을 갖추고 있으며, 개장 이후 단체 관광객 유치와 지속적인 이벤트 운영을 통해 방문 수요를 꾸준히 확대해 왔다.

The site features a variety of hands-on attractions, including the Haerang Observatory, Skywalk, Giant Slide, and Sky Cycle. Since its opening, it has steadily increased visitor demand through group tour programs and ongoing promotional events.

특히 망상해변과 추암해변, 천곡 황금박쥐 동굴 등 인근 관광지와 연계한 이동 동선의 중심 거점으로 기능하며 체류형 관광을 견인하고, 묵호권 상권에도 긍정적인 파급 효과를 미치고 있다는 평가다.

It also serves as a central hub connecting nearby attractions such as Mangsang Beach, Chuam Beach, and Cheongok Golden Bat Cave, encouraging longer stays and generating positive economic spillover effects in the Mukho area.

2월 10일부터 22일까지 13일간 특별 할인

13-Day Special Discount Event from Feb. 10 to Feb. 22

재단은 2월 10일부터 22일까지 13일간 200만 명 돌파 기념 이벤트를 진행한다.

The foundation will host a 13-day commemorative event from February 10 to February 22.

이벤트 기간 동안 입장료는 50% 할인되며, 스카이사이클 이용료는 20% 할인 혜택이 제공된다. 또한 기념품이 선착순으로 증정된다.

During the event period, admission fees will be discounted by 50%, and Sky Cycle tickets will be offered at a 20% discount. Commemorative souvenirs will also be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

특히 200만 번째 방문객에게는 도째비골 스카이밸리 평생 이용권과 기념 액자가 특별 증정될 예정이다.

Notably, the 2-millionth visitor will receive a lifetime pass to Dottaebigol Sky Valley along with a commemorative framed certificate.

관광객 500만 명 시대를 향한 도약

이번 행사는 지자체가 구축한 관광 인프라를 적극 활용해 관광객 유입을 확대하려는 마케팅 전략의 일환으로, 향후 500만 명 달성 목표에 대한 기대감을 높이는 계기가 될 전망이다.

The event is part of a broadr marketing strategy aimed at maximizing the use of public tourism infrastructure to attract more visitors, while building momentum toward the long-term goal of reaching 5 million cumulative visitors.

재단 관계자는 “도째비골 스카이밸리 200만 명 달성은 동해 관광 콘텐츠의 경쟁력을 보여주는 상징적 지표”라며 “앞으로도 다양한 체험 프로그램과 이벤트를 통해 관광객 체류시간 확대와 지역 소비 활성화에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

A foundation official stated, “Reaching 2 million visitors is a symbolic indicator of Donghae’s tourism competitiveness. We will continue to expand experiential programs and events to increase visitor stay duration and stimulate local consumption.”
