동해시의회, 설맞이 관내 사회복지시설 9개소 위문

동해시의회(의장 민귀희)는 2월 10일 설 명절을 앞두고 관내 사회복지시설 9개소(노인복지시설 4개소, 장애인시설 3개소, 피해자 보호시설 2개소)를 방문해 위문품을 전달하며 따뜻한 정을 나눴다.

On February 10, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, Donghae City Council (Chairperson Min Gwi-hee) visited nine local social welfare facilities—including four senior welfare facilities, three facilities for people with disabilities, and two victim protection facilities—to deliver care packages and share words of encouragement.

이번 위문 방문은 우리 민족 고유의 명절인 설을 맞아 도움이 필요한 이웃들에게 온정을 전하고, 시민과 함께하는 열린 의정을 실천하고자 마련됐다.

The visits were organized to extend warmth and support to neighbors in need during the traditional Lunar New Year holiday, and to practice open, community-centered legislative activities alongside citizens.

동해시의회는 시설 운영 여건과 이용자들의 애로사항을 살피며 현장의 목소리를 경청하는 시간을 가졌다.

During the visits, council members closely examined facility operations and listened attentively to the concerns and needs of residents and staff on site.

#민귀희 의장은 “명절을 맞아 소외된 이웃들에게 작은 위로와 희망을 전할 수 있어 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하며 나눔과 배려를 실천하는 의정활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Chairperson Min Gwi-hee stated, “It was a meaningful opportunity to offer comfort and hope to those who may feel isolated during the holiday season,” adding, “We will continue to carry out legislative activities that promote sharing and compassion in close partnership with our local community.”

한편, 동해시의회는 매년 명절마다 사회복지시설 위문 활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있으며, 소외 없는 지역 공동체 실현을 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있다.

Meanwhile, the Donghae City Council has consistently conducted holiday visits to social welfare facilities each year and remains committed to building an inclusive local community where no one is left behind.
