Career Education Center Operates 2-Day Experiential Program “2026 Drone Classroom”

— “Opening the Future with Drones, AI, and Coding: Career Exploration for Elementary Students”

강원특별자치도교육청진로교육원(원장 김익중)은 1월 29일(목)부터 30일(금)까지 1박 2일간, 드론에 관심 있는 초등학교 5·6학년 학생 20명을 대상으로 체험형 진로교육 프로그램 ‘2026 드론교실’을 운영하였다.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education Career Education Center (Director: Kim Ik-jung) operated the experiential career education program “2026 Drone Classroom” for 20 fifth- and sixth-grade elementary students from January 29 (Thu) to 30 (Fri), over a two-day, one-night period.

이번 드론교실은 학생들이 4차 산업혁명 시대의 핵심 기술인 드론, 인공지능(AI), 코딩을 직접 체험함으로써 미래 진로를 탐색하고, 안전한 비행 역량과 문제 해결 능력을 기를 수 있도록 마련되었다.

The program was designed to help students explore future career paths by experiencing key technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution—drones, artificial intelligence (AI), and coding—while also enhancing their safe flight skills and problem-solving abilities.

특히, 드론을 처음 접하는 학생들도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 드론의 기본 원리와 비행 구조에 대한 이론 교육과 함께 조립 및 비행 실습을 병행하여, 4차 산업혁명 핵심 역량인 드론 활용 능력을 체계적으로 기를 수 있도록 구성했다.

In particular, the program combined theoretical instruction on basic drone principles and flight mechanisms with hands-on assembly and flight practice, enabling even beginners to develop essential drone competencies in a structured manner.

주요 프로그램은 △드론 기초 원리 학습 △드론 조립 및 비행 실습 △인공지능 기반 드론 체험 △드론 코딩(블록코딩, 군집드론) △항공 촬영 특강 및 체험 △드론 스포츠 체험 등으로 구성되었으며, 학생들의 경험 수준에 따라 두 개 반으로 나누어 맞춤형 수업으로 운영되었다.

Key activities included: △learning basic drone principles △drone assembly and flight practice △AI-based drone experiences △drone coding (block coding and swarm drones) △aerial photography lectures and hands-on training △drone sports activities. The students were divided into two groups according to their experience levels to ensure customized instruction.

#김익중 진로교육원장은 “이번 ‘2026 드론교실’이 단순한 체험을 넘어, 학생들이 미래 산업과 직업 세계를 깊이 이해하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 강원의 학생들이 변화하는 산업 환경 속에서 창의적으로 도전하고, 지역과 국가를 이끌 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Director Kim Ik-jung stated, “I hope the ‘2026 Drone Classroom’ serves as more than just an experience, becoming an opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of future industries and careers,” adding, “We will continue to provide strong support so that students in Gangwon can grow into creative leaders who will shape both their local communities and the nation in a rapidly changing industrial environment.”
