2026년 강릉시 무사안녕 시민행복 기원제 거행

강릉시(시장 김홍규)는 2026년 새해를 맞아 시민의 무사안녕과 행복을 기원하고, ‘경제도시다운 강릉, 관광도시다운 강릉’을 실현하기 위한 「2026년 무사안녕 시민행복 기원제」를 거행한다.

이번 행사는 시민 모두의 가정에 평안과 행운이 가득하기를 기원하고, 강릉의 지속적인 발전과 시민 안전을 도모하며, 지역사회 전반의 화합과 협력을 다짐하는 뜻깊은 자리로 마련됐다.

행사는 오는 10일(토) 오전 7시, 강동면 안보등산로 활공장전망대에서 열린다. 김홍규 강릉시장을 초헌관으로 하여 간부공무원과 산하기관장 등 100여 명이 참석해 제례를 봉행하고, 하나 된 힘으로 ‘강원제일 행복강릉’의 미래를 열어가겠다는 새해 각오를 다질 예정이다.

특히 이번 기원제를 통해, 지난 3년 6개월간 추진해 온 경제·관광도시로의 대전환 과정에서 이뤄낸 도전과 혁신을 바탕으로, 2026년에는 지역경제 활성화로 이어지는 실질적인 성과 창출에 총력을 기울이겠다는 의지를 다시 한번 결집한다.

또한 각종 재난·재해에 선제적으로 대응하는 안전도시 강릉 구현을 위해 시민의 생명과 재산 보호를 최우선으로 하는 대응 체계 강화에 모든 행정 역량을 집중할 방침이다.

아울러 2026 강릉 세계마스터즈탁구선수권대회와 ITS 세계총회의 성공적인 개최를 통해 국제도시로서의 위상을 높이고, 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 더 큰 강릉으로 도약해 ‘시민 모두가 잘사는 강릉’을 실현해 나갈 계획이다.

2026 Gangneung City Ceremony for Public Safety and Citizens’ Happiness Held

Continuing the Great Transformation into a Leading Economic and Tourism City Together with Citizens

Gangneung City (Mayor Kim Hong-kyu) will hold the “2026 Ceremony for Public Safety and Citizens’ Happiness” to pray for the safety and well-being of all citizens and to advance the vision of “Gangneung as a Strong Economic City and a Distinguished Tourism City” at the start of the new year.

The ceremony is intended to wish peace and good fortune for every household, promote the city’s development and public safety, and foster harmony and cooperation across the community.

The event will take place at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, the 10th, at the Hang-gliding Observatory along the Anbo Hiking Trail in Gangdong-myeon. Mayor Kim Hong-kyu will serve as the chief officiant, joined by approximately 100 senior officials and heads of affiliated organizations, to conduct the traditional rite and reaffirm their commitment to opening a brighter future for “Gangneung, the Happiest City in Gangwon Province.”

Through this ceremony, the city will once again unite its determination to generate tangible outcomes for regional economic revitalization, building on the challenges and innovations pursued over the past three and a half years toward transforming Gangneung into a leading economic and tourism hub.

The city will also reinforce its commitment to becoming a safe city, strengthening proactive disaster-prevention systems with the highest priority placed on protecting citizens’ lives and property.

In addition, Gangneung plans to elevate its global stature by successfully hosting the 2026 Gangneung World Masters Table Tennis Championships and the ITS World Congress, thereby advancing as an internationally competitive city and realizing a future where “all citizens prosper together.”

 Mayor Kim stated, “With the shared trust and united passion of our public officials and citizens, I am confident that change and innovation will never stop.”

He added, “In the new year, all Gangneung City officials will faithfully honor our promises to citizens for a bigger and warmer Gangneung, and firmly lay the foundation for a leap forward that will shape the city’s next 100 years.”
