「지역현안대응 G-Lab 거버넌스 플랫폼 구축 포럼」을 연다.

On December 18, the RISE Project Group will host the

“G-Lab Governance Platform Forum for Local Issue Response” in Sokcho.

이번 포럼은 단순한 정책 토론이 아니다.

기후위기 시대, 속초 수산업의 생존과 지속 가능한 미래를 함께 고민하는 자리다.

This forum goes beyond policy discussion.

It is a space to collectively explore the survival and sustainable future of Sokcho’s fisheries in an era of climate crisis.

포럼에서는 국립수산과학원 동해수산연구소 이선길 박사가

최근 속초 인근 해역의 모니터링 데이터를 바탕으로,

동해안 수온 상승과 어족 자원 변동의 심각성을 진단한다.

At the forum, Dr. Sun-gil Lee of the East Sea Fisheries Research Institute (NIFS) will present recent monitoring data from waters near Sokcho, highlighting the alarming rise in sea temperatures and rapid changes in fish stocks.

특히 속초 해역의 변화가 전국 평균보다 빠르게 진행되고 있다는 점은

더 이상 미룰 수 없는 대응의 필요성을 말해준다.

The fact that changes in Sokcho’s waters are occurring faster than the national average underscores the urgency for proactive action.

하지만 숫자만으로는 바다를 다 설명할 수 없다.

어민과 수협 관계자들이 직접 겪고 있는 현실의 이야기가 이어진다.

Yet numbers alone cannot tell the whole story of the sea.

Fishermen and fisheries cooperative representatives will share the realities they face on the ground.

“이전 방식만으로는 더 이상 어업을 지속하기 어렵습니다.”

“With traditional methods alone, sustaining our livelihoods is becoming increasingly difficult.”

이들의 목소리는 데이터 너머의 진짜 현장을 우리 앞에 놓는다.

Their voices bring the reality beyond data into clear view.
