2026학년도 강원 직업계고 신입생 충원율 88.96%

강원특별자치도교육청이 발표한 2026학년도 직업계고 신입생 전형(특별·일반) 결과, 도내 직업계고 신입생 충원율이 88.96%를 기록하며 최근 7년 가운데 최고치를 달성했다. 이는 전년도 충원율 80.51% 대비 8.45%포인트 상승한 수치로, 직업계고 재구조화와 교육력 강화 정책이 실질적인 성과를 거두고 있는 것으로 분석된다.

오는 1월 19일부터 20일까지 진행되는 추가 모집 결과까지 반영될 경우, 충원율은 90%를 넘어설 것으로 전망된다.

According to the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education, the enrollment rate for first-year students at vocational high schools across the province for the 2026 academic year reached 88.96%, marking the highest level in the past seven years. This represents an increase of 8.45 percentage points compared to last year’s rate of 80.51%, indicating that ongoing efforts to restructure vocational schools and strengthen educational quality are yielding tangible results.

With additional recruitment scheduled for January 19–20, the final enrollment rate is expected to exceed 90%.

특히 강원형 마이스터고 2교는 평균 지원율이 100%를 초과하며, 재구조화 이전과 비교해 경쟁률이 뚜렷하게 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 최근 3년간 학과 개편을 거쳐 신입생을 모집한 11교 22학과의 평균 충원율은 91.42%로, 개편 이전 대비 괄목할 만한 성과를 보였다. 이는 직업계고 재구조화 정책의 대표적인 성공 사례로 평가된다.

Notably, the two Gangwon-style Meister High Schools recorded average application rates exceeding 100%, demonstrating a clear rise in competitiveness compared to the period before restructuring. In addition, 22 departments across 11 schools that underwent curriculum reorganization over the past three years achieved an average enrollment rate of 91.42%, a significant improvement over pre-restructuring levels. These results are widely regarded as exemplary cases of successful vocational high school restructuring.

학령인구 감소라는 구조적 어려움 속에서도 직업계고 충원율이 지속적으로 상승한 배경에는, 첨단 산업 수요와 학생·학부모의 요구를 반영한 재구조화 정책이 효과적으로 작동한 점이 주요 요인으로 꼽힌다.

Despite the structural challenge of a declining school-age population, the steady rise in vocational high school enrollment is attributed to restructuring policies that closely reflect advanced industrial demands as well as the needs of students and parents.

강원형 마이스터고 신설, 협약형 특성화고 운영을 비롯해 ▲글로벌 현장학습 ▲1학과 1전공 심화동아리 운영 ▲과정평가형 산업기사 자격 교육 ▲현장실습 및 취업 지원 강화 ▲미래역량 교육 확대 ▲학교 환경 개선 등 교육청의 다각적인 정책 추진이 충원율 상승을 견인했다는 평가다.

The Office of Education attributed the increase to a comprehensive set of policies, including the establishment of Gangwon-style Meister High Schools, the operation of agreement-based specialized high schools, global on-site training programs, in-depth major-focused clubs, process-based industrial engineer certification programs, strengthened field training and employment support, expanded future competency education, and improvements to school facilities.

강원특별자치도교육청 관계자는

“이번 신입생 충원율 상승은 직업계고 교직원들의 꾸준한 헌신과 첨단 산업 변화에 발맞춘 교육과정 혁신이 만들어낸 결과”라며,

“앞으로도 직업계고의 지속적인 성장을 체계적으로 지원하고, 미래 산업을 선도할 전문 기술 인재 양성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

An official from the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education stated,

“This rise in enrollment reflects the dedication of vocational high school educators and curriculum innovation aligned with rapid industrial changes,” adding,

“We will continue to provide systematic support for the sustainable growth of vocational high schools and do our utmost to cultivate highly skilled professionals who will lead future industries.”
