글로벌 허브도시 동해시 × 국립한국해양대학교 선상 아카데미, 바다 위에서 만난 미래

2025년 11월 26일, 맑은 바닷바람이 스치는 묵호항.

그곳에 정박한 국립한국해양대학교 실습선 ‘한바다호’ 위에서

동해시와 국립한국해양대학교가 함께하는 특별한 교류 행사가 열렸다.

On November 26, 2025, with the crisp sea breeze flowing across Mukho Port,the training vessel “Hanbada-ho” of Korea Maritime University became the stage for a special exchange event hosted by the City of Donghae and KMU.

 “Onboard Academy with a Global Hub City”

이번 행사는 2023년 체결된 동해시–국립한국해양대학교 상호교류 협약의 후속 프로그램으로,양 기관의 협력 확대와 해양 인문교육, 미래 진로 탐험의 장을 마련하기 위해 기획되었다.

올해로 세 번째 열린 이 프로그램은 시민과 학생 모두에게 바다를 새롭게 경험하는 소중한 시간이 되었다.

This program is part of an ongoing exchange agreement between Donghae City and KMU,

first signed in 2023. Now in its third year, the Onboard Academy offers deeper collaboration,

marine humanities education, and inspiring career exploration for both citizens and students.

6,686톤급 ‘한바다호’가 선사한 특별한 경험

행사 개최를 위해 묵호항에 입항한 한바다호는

최첨단 항해 장비와 다양한 교육시설을 갖춘 대형 실습선이다.

246명을 수용할 수 있는 이 배는, 학생들에게 실제 해양 직업 세계를 체험하게 해주는 움직이는 해양교육 현장이었다.

The “Hanbada-ho,” equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems and training facilities,

served as a moving classroom—allowing participants to experience the maritime world firsthand.

동해안권 발전을 향한 정관산학연 라운드테이블

A Roundtable for the Future of the East Coast Region

국회의원, 동해시장, 동해시의장, 해양수산청장, 해양경찰청장, 산업계 대표 등 각계 전문가가 배 위에 한자리에 모였다.

이들은 동해안권 발전 전략과 해양·항만 분야 협력 방안을 심도 있게 논의하며 지역 미래에 대한 비전을 함께 그렸다.

Experts and leaders—including lawmakers, city officials, maritime authorities,

and industry representatives—gathered on board to discuss strategies

for East Coast development and cooperation in maritime and port industries.

선상 아카데미 – “동해의 해양치유자원 활용법”

Onboard Academy – “How to Use Donghae’s Marine Healing Resources”

시민과 학생들에게는 동해의 풍부한 해양치유자원을 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지 탐색하는 강연이 열렸다.

바다를 바라보며 듣는 인문·치유 강의는 바다와의 거리를 더 가깝게 만들었다.
