강릉시, 도암댐 비상방류수 수질검사 결과 발표… 정수처리 문제 없음

강릉시는 지난 9월 20일(토) 도암댐 비상방류 시작에 따라 수질검증위원회와 함께 비상방류구에서 즉시 수질검사를 실시했다.

On September 20 (Saturday), Gangneung City, in cooperation with the Water Quality Verification Committee, conducted immediate water quality tests at the emergency discharge outlet of Doam Dam, following the commencement of the emergency release.

수질검사 항목은 당일 측정이 가능한 수소이온농도, 용존산소, 총유기탄소 등 8개 항목으로, 시는 24시간 배양이 필요한 총대장균군을 제외한 7개 항목의 검사 결과를 공개했다.

The inspection covered eight items measurable on the same day, including pH, dissolved oxygen, and total organic carbon. Of these, the city released results for seven items, excluding the total coliform test, which requires a 24-hour incubation period.

오늘 처음 방류된 방류수의 수질검사 결과, 그동안 환경부 및 강릉시에서 실시한 검사 결과와 유사하여 일단 강릉시 정수장에서 정수처리하는 데 큰 문제가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

The results from the first day of discharge were consistent with previous tests conducted by the Ministry of Environment and Gangneung City, indicating that there are no significant issues for water treatment at Gangneung’s purification facilities.

강릉시 관계자는 “비상방류수 수질검사 결과를 강릉시청 홈페이지에 공개하고 매일 엄격한 모니터링을 통하여 도암댐 수질에 대한 시민들의 불안을 해소하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

A Gangneung City official stated, “We will disclose the results of the emergency discharge water quality tests on the city’s official website and conduct strict daily monitoring to ease public concerns about the water quality of Doam Dam.”
