교동초, ‘놀이로 동거동락!’ 유·초 이음교육 프로그램 운영

교동초등학교병설유치원과 교동초등학교(교장 정은순)는 2025년 국가시책사업 ‘유·초 이음교육’의 일환으로 3월부터 12월까지 ‘놀이로 동거동락!’ 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

Gyodong Elementary School Kindergarten and Gyodong Elementary School (Principal: Jeong Eun-sun) are operating the “Living Together Through Play!” program from March to December 2025 as part of the national policy project Early Childhood–Elementary Connection Education.

‘놀이로 동거동락!’은 유치원 5세 유아와 초등학교 1학년 학생이 형님·동생 짝을 이루어 함께 놀이하며 성장하는 활동으로, 동화책을 통해 문해력을 키우고 협동을 배우는 데 목적이 있다.

The program pairs five-year-old kindergarteners with first-grade elementary students as “older and younger siblings,” engaging them in play-based activities that nurture literacy through storybooks and foster collaboration.

지난 9월 10일(수)에는 형님·동생이 짝을 이루어 함께하는 ‘과일 타르트 만들기 체험’을 실시하였다. 이번 체험에서 유아들은 형·누나의 도움을 받아 안전하게 재료를 다루며 즐거운 시간을 보냈고, 1학년 학생들은 동생들을 챙기며 자연스럽게 책임감과 리더십을 기를 수 있었다.

On September 10 (Wednesday), the students participated in a “Fruit Tart Making Experience.” Kindergarteners, with the help of their older partners, safely handled ingredients and enjoyed the activity, while the first graders cultivated responsibility and leadership by caring for their younger peers.

학교는 앞으로도 유아와 초등학생의 전인적 성장을 지원하기 위해 다양한 형태의 ‘유·초 이음교육’ 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영할 계획이다.

The school plans to continue running diverse Early Childhood–Elementary Connection Education programs to support the holistic growth of both kindergarteners and elementary students.

#정은순 교장은 “아이들이 학교라는 새로운 환경을 긍정적으로 받아들이고 즐거운 추억을 쌓아, 입학 전 불안감을 해소하는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

Principal Jeong Eun-sun stated, “I hope this program helps children embrace the new school environment positively, create joyful memories, and ease their anxieties before entering elementary school.”
