A special concert, “Ghibli Jazz Night”, hosted by Samcheok City, Samcheok City Council, and Samcheok Office of Education, and organized by the Samcheok Heritage Culture Foundation, will take place at 7 PM on September 19 at the Samcheok Culture & Arts Center Grand Theater.

As part of the “Better Education Project in Samcheok,” the show will reinterpret legendary Studio Ghibli soundtracks in a jazz style.

The performance will feature the Cinematic Jazz Orchestra, led by renowned artist Oh Jae-cheol, along with witty and elegant commentary from Deniv Near, promising an unforgettable evening.

From My Neighbor Totoro to Spirited Away and Kiki’s Delivery Service, timeless Ghibli classics will be reborn through fresh arrangements and powerful jazz sounds.
