Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Joins “Exciting K-Vacance” Summer Travel Campaign

강원특별자치도(도지사#김진태)는 오는 7월 9일(수) 서울 청계광장에서 열리는 ‘두근두근 케이(K)-바캉스, 꿀잼 가득 국내여행’ 캠페인에 참여해 강원 관광의 매력을 널리 알릴 예정이다.
Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) will take part in the “Exciting K-Vacance: Domestic Travel Full of Fun” campaign held at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul on Wednesday, July 9, to widely promote the charm of Gangwon tourism.

이번 캠페인은 하계 휴가철을 맞아 내수경제 활성화를 도모하고, 국내여행 붐을 조성하기 위한 목적으로, 국회와 문화체육관광부, 한국관광공사, 한국경제인협회가 공동 주최한다.
The campaign, co-hosted by the National Assembly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization, and the Federation of Korean Industries, aims to revitalize the domestic economy and spark a boom in domestic travel during the summer vacation season.

강원특별자치도를 포함한 전국 9개 시도와 케이비(KB)금융그룹이 민관 협력 방식으로 참여한다.
Nine provinces and cities across Korea, including Gangwon, will participate in public-private partnership with KB Financial Group.

도는 이번 행사에서 ‘2025~2026 강원 방문의 해’를 본격 홍보하는 한편, 7월 추천 여행지인 동해와 홍천을 중심으로 여름철 관광 콘텐츠를 집중 소개한다.
At this event, the province will actively promote the “Visit Gangwon Years 2025–2026” initiative, while highlighting summer tourism content centered around Donghae and Hongcheon—recommended destinations for July.

특히 행사 당일 서울 청계광장에 설치된 강원홍보부스에서는 도내 주요 관광지 정보, 추천 코스, 지역 특산품 등을 제공하고, 부스 방문객 대상 이벤트와 기념품 제공도 병행할 계획이다.
At the Gangwon promotional booth at Cheonggye Plaza, visitors will be able to access information on top tourist attractions, recommended travel courses, and local specialties. Events and giveaways will also be held for booth visitors.

캠페인 행사는 국회에서도 동시에 개최되며, KBS를 통해 전국에 생중계되어 전국적으로 강원 관광 홍보 효과가 확산될 것으로 기대된다.
The campaign will also take place simultaneously at the National Assembly and be broadcast live nationwide via KBS, further amplifying Gangwon’s tourism appeal across the country.

김권종 강원특별자치도 관광국장은 “이번 캠페인은 ‘2025~2026 강원 방문의 해’를 전국에 알리는 좋은 기회이자, 동해와 홍천 등 강원 여름 관광지에 대한 국민적 관심을 이끄는 계기”라며
Kim Kwon-jong, Director of the Tourism Bureau of Gangwon Province, stated, “This campaign is a great opportunity to raise national awareness for the ‘Visit Gangwon Years 2025–2026’ and to attract public attention to summer destinations like Donghae and Hongcheon.”

“강원특별자치도의 매력적인 자연 자원과 휴양지, 지역 먹거리 등이 국민들 여름휴가 계획에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
“We hope Gangwon’s beautiful natural resources, vacation spots, and regional foods will genuinely help people in planning their summer holidays,” he added.
