원강수 원주시장, 관람 후 소재(만두)가 같은 원주만두축제 홍보

원주시는 문화콘텐츠와 연계해 지역 대표축제인 ‘원주만두축제’를 알리는 활동에 적극 나섰다.

Wonju City is actively promoting its signature local festival, the ‘Wonju Dumpling Festival,’ by linking it with cultural content.

원강수 원주시장은 지난 26일 원주 어울림소극장에서 공연 중인 지역 창작 음악극 ‘봉천내 사람들-만두전성시대’를 관람하고, <만두>라는 같은 소재를 활용하는 ‘원주만두축제’를 홍보하는 자리를 가졌다.

On the 26th, Mayor Kang-Soo Won attended the original musical “People of Bongcheon Stream – The Golden Age of Dumplings” at the Eoulrim Small Theater in Wonju and took the opportunity to promote the ‘Wonju Dumpling Festival,’ which shares the theme of dumplings.

‘봉천내 사람들-만두전성시대’ 공연은 원주문화재단의 지역브랜드 지원사업에 선정돼 선보이는 창작 음악극으로, 봉천내의 만두골목을 배경으로 펼쳐지는 만둣국집 사장과 동네 사람들의 따뜻한 이야기를 그린 작품이다.

The musical, selected as part of the Wonju Cultural Foundation’s local brand support project, tells a heartwarming story of a dumpling soup shop owner and local residents set against the backdrop of the dumpling alley in Bongcheon Stream.

#원강수 시장은 “지금은 원주천으로 불리는 봉천내라는 공간의 따뜻한 추억을 떠올려보는 뜻깊은 시간이었다.”라며, “올해 원주만두축제에 많은 시민 여러분의 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다.”라고 전했다.

Mayor Won remarked, “It was a meaningful time that brought back warm memories of Bongcheon Stream, now known as Wonjucheon,” and added, “I hope many citizens will show interest and take part in this year’s Wonju Dumpling Festival.”

한편 원주만두축제는 10월 24일부터 10월 26일까지 중앙동 전통시장, 문화의 거리와 확장된 공간인 원일로에서 개최되며, 글로벌 축제 도약을 위한 다양한 프로그램과 이벤트가 열릴 예정이다.

Meanwhile, the Wonju Dumpling Festival will be held from October 24 to 26 across Jungang-dong Traditional Market, Culture Street, and the expanded area of Wonil-ro, featuring a wide array of programs and events aimed at elevating it into a global festival.
