강원특별자치도, 「강원건강생활실천대회」 개최

강원특별자치도(도지사#김진태)는 6월 20일(금), 춘천 한림대학교 캠퍼스라이프센터에서 『강원건강생활실천대회』를 개최하고, 건강한 강원 실현을 위한 금연, 절주, 걷기 실천문화 확산에 본격적으로 나섰다.

On Friday, June 20, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) hosted the “Gangwon Healthy Living Practice Conference” at the Campus Life Center of Hallym University in Chuncheon. The event marked the beginning of a province-wide campaign to promote healthy behaviors such as quitting smoking, reducing alcohol consumption, and walking more.

이번 행사에는 강원특별자치도와 통합건강증진사업지원단, 시군 보건소장, 건강생활실천협의회 위원, 민간 전문가 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데, 우수 시군 포상 수여, 건강생활 실천 선포식, 전략 심포지엄 등이 진행되었다.

The event brought together over 100 participants, including officials from Gangwon Province, the Integrated Health Promotion Support Group, local public health center directors, members of the Healthy Living Practice Council, and private-sector experts. It featured an awards ceremony, a health practice declaration, and a strategic symposium.

우수기관 포상에서는 홍천군보건소, 정선군보건소, 원주시보건소가 건강생활실천사업 우수기관으로 선정되어 도지사 표창을 수상했다.

Excellence Awards were presented to the public health centers of Hongcheon, Jeongseon, and Wonju for their outstanding contributions to healthy living initiatives.

건강생활실천 선포식에서는 “금연! 지금 바로!”, “술은 NO! 건강은 YES!”, “한 걸음 건강의 시작” 등 메시지를 담은 피켓 퍼포먼스를 통해 도민과 함께하는 실천 의지를 표명했다.

During the Health Practice Declaration Ceremony, participants shared messages such as “Quit Smoking Now!”, “No to Alcohol, Yes to Health!”, and “One Step Starts a Healthy Life” through a placard performance, signaling collective commitment.

강원도 마스코트 ‘강원이’와 ‘특별이’를 활용한 건강생활실천 캐릭터도 이날 최초 공개되었다.

New mascot characters, ‘Gangwoni’ and ‘Teukbyeoli’, were introduced to promote health practices in a friendly and relatable way to the public.

Building a Healthier Gangwon with the People

심포지엄에서는 강원 통합건강증진사업의 핵심성과지표 달성을 위한 실천전략을 발표하고, 중앙정부, 도, 시군, 의료계가 참여한 토론을 통해 건강생활실천 활성화 방안을 모색했다.

The symposium featured presentations on strategies to achieve key performance indicators of Gangwon’s integrated health promotion program. Representatives from central and local governments and the medical sector discussed practical ways to strengthen health behavior initiatives across the province.

여중협 강원특별자치도 행정부지사는 “건강은 어떤 좋은 약보다도 ‘실천’에서 시작되며, 금연·절주·걷기 실천이야말로 도민 건강을 지키는 가장 강력한 백신”이라며, “이번 대회를 계기로 건강생활 문화가 확산되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

In his address, Vice Governor Yeo Joong-hyup emphasized, “Health begins with action, more than any medicine. Quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, and walking are the strongest vaccines we have for our well-being. We hope this conference becomes a turning point in spreading a culture of healthy living across the province.”
