2025년 강원갤러리 개막… 올해로 3년째, 강원미술 수도권 진출 이어가

지난 해 작품 판매 수 3배 이상 늘어나며 강원미술 경쟁력 입증

Gangwon’s Art Market Gains Momentum with Over Triple the Artwork Sales Compared to Last Year

강원특별자치도(도지사 김진태)는 6월 17일(화) 오후 5시, 서울 인사동 갤러리 은에서 ‘2025년 강원갤러리 개막식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) announced that the Gangwon Gallery 2025 Opening Ceremony was held at Gallery Eun in Insadong, Seoul, on Tuesday, June 17 at 5 p.m.

강원갤러리는 강원 미술의 저력을 수도권에 알리기 위해 2023년부터 서울 인사동에서 추진해 온 사업으로, 올해 전시는 ‘강원방문의 해’를 기념해 ‘강원-산하를 담다’ 주제로 진행된다.

Since 2023, the Gangwon Gallery project has been held annually in Seoul’s Insadong district to promote the strength of Gangwon’s fine arts in the capital region. This year’s exhibition celebrates the Visit Gangwon Years (2025–2026) under the theme “Gangwon – Embracing Mountains and Rivers.”

이번 전시에는 강원 지역 작가 30여 명의 회화 작품을 선보이며, 6월 18일부터 23일까지 총 6일간 관람할 수 있다.

The exhibition will showcase paintings by over 30 artists from the Gangwon region and will be open to the public for six days, from June 18 to 23.

 김진태 강원특별자치도지사는 “지난해 작품 판매 수가 3배 이상 늘어났고 올해도 상승세를 이어가 출품작 완판을 기대한다”고 전했다.

Governor Kim Jin-tae stated, “Last year’s artwork sales more than tripled, and we anticipate a sell-out again this year as momentum continues to build.”

이어 “앞으로는 도청 청사 복도를 강원 미술의 작품을 감상하고 구매할 수 있는 갤러리로 활용할 계획”이라며,

He added, “We plan to transform the hallways of the provincial government building into a gallery space where the public can view and purchase works by Gangwon artists.”

“도민에게 일상 속 상설 갤러리를 제공하며 문화예술 접촉 기회를 늘려나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

“This will provide residents with everyday access to a permanent art space, expanding opportunities to engage with culture and the arts.”

한편, 도는 올해부터 강원미술작가 중앙화단 진출과 홍보 확대를 위해 오는 11월에는 인천 송도에서 열리는 국내 유명 아트페어 ‘2025 인천아트쇼’에 참가해 강원 갤러리 부스를 운영할 계획이다.

Meanwhile, to further promote Gangwon artists and their entry into the national art scene, the province will operate a Gangwon Gallery booth at the 2025 Incheon Art Show, a major domestic art fair to be held this November in Songdo, Incheon.
