Community Festival for People with Disabilities Held in Dogye

도계장애인일자리나눔협동조합은 블랙밸리컨트리클럽의 후원으로 2025년 6월 14일(토) 오전 11시, 도계청소년장학센터 1층에서 도계지역 장애인 100여 명을 초청하여 ‘장애인 한마당 축제’를 개최하였다.

With sponsorship from Black Valley Country Club, the Dogye Disabled Employment Sharing Cooperative held a “Community Festival for People with Disabilities” on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The event took place on the first floor of the Dogye Youth Scholarship Center and invited over 100 local residents with disabilities.

이번 행사는 지역 장애인과의 소통과 화합을 위한 자리로, 양말식, 품바 공연, 장애인 인식개선 교육 등 다양한 프로그램으로 진행되었다.

The festival was designed to promote communication and harmony with people with disabilities in the local community. It featured a variety of programs including a symbolic “Socks Ceremony,” a traditional Pumba performance, and an educational session on disability awareness.

양말신겨드리기 열중인 권정복 시의장과 박상수 시장/시의원 및 단체장 

특히 ‘양말식’은 장애인에게 직접 양말을 신겨드리는 상징적인 의식을 통해 장애인을 배려하고 이웃으로서 존중하는 공동체 정신을 실천하고자 마련되었다.

In particular, the “Socks Ceremony” involved putting socks on participants with disabilities as a symbolic act of care and respect, embodying the spirit of community and inclusion.

시 관계자는 “민간 차원에서 자발적으로 이루어지는 장애인에 대한 관심과 따뜻한 지원에 깊이 감사드린다”며, “앞으로도 장애인의 사회참여 확대와 권익 증진을 위한 다양한 정책을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

A city official remarked, “We deeply appreciate the voluntary support and warm interest in people with disabilities coming from the private sector. We will continue to implement policies that promote greater social participation and protect the rights of individuals with disabilities.”
