On-site experience of public design best practices and trend exploration

이번 현장학습에는 강원특별자치도청과 시군 공무원, 강원디자인진흥원 관계자 등 총 27명이 참여하여, 부산 지역의 공공디자인 우수 사례를 직접 체험하고 타 지자체의 전략을 벤치마킹하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

A total of 27 participants, including officials from the Gangwon Provincial Government, city and county officials, and members of the Gangwon Design Promotion Agency, took part in the field study. They had a valuable opportunity to experience excellent public design practices in Busan and benchmark strategies of other local governments.

▲도시재생을 통해 복합문화공간으로 거듭난 ‘알로이시오기지 1968’, 

▲디자인 중심 도시 부산의 전략과 정책을 선도하는 ‘부산디자인진흥원’, ▲철강공장 재생의 대표 사례인 ‘F1963’, 

▲도심 속 다기능 복합공간 ‘부산시민공원’, 

▲관광 콘텐츠와 공공디자인이 결합된 ‘송도스카이파크 및 송도용궁구름다리’ 등이다.

Key sites visited included:

Aloysius Base 1968, a cultural complex born through urban regeneration,Busan Design Promotion Agency, a leader in design-centered urban strategies and policies,F1963, a prime example of steel factory regeneration,Busan Citizens Park, a multifunctional urban complex, and

Songdo Sky Park and Songdo Yonggung Cloud Bridge, where tourism content and public design are integrated.

참가자들은 공간 재생, 범용디자인, 지속가능성, 사용자 중심 설계 등 다양한 키워드를 중심으로 공공디자인 현장을 탐방하고, 적용 가능성을 모색했다.

Participants explored the field of public design through themes such as spatial regeneration, universal design, sustainability, and user-centered design, and examined the applicability of such concepts.

만족도 조사 결과, 전체 참가자 100%가 ‘만족’, 96%가 ‘업무에 도움이 된다’고 응답했으며, 향후 정기적 운영에 대한 요구도 높게 나타났다. 특히 ‘알로이시오기지 1968’이 가장 유익한 사례지로 꼽혔다.

According to the satisfaction survey, 100% of participants responded as “satisfied,” and 96% stated that the program was “helpful for their work.” There was also a high demand for regular future programs. “Aloysius Base 1968” was selected as the most beneficial site.

김순하 강원특별자치도 건축과장은 “이번 스쿨은 시군과 디자인진흥원 간 네트워킹을 강화하고, 도내 공공디자인 품질 향상에 실질적으로 기여할 수 있는 프로그램”이라며, “앞으로 우수사례지를 확대 발굴하고 체계적인 교육 콘텐츠를 개발해 지속적으로 운영해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kim Soon-ha, Director of Architecture at Gangwon Province, stated, “This program strengthened networking between local governments and the Design Promotion Agency, and will contribute meaningfully to enhancing the quality of public design in the province. We will continue to expand best practice sites and develop systematic educational content for ongoing operation.”

이어 “이번 교육은 강원자치도가 자체 수립한 「강원특별자치도 제2차 공공디자인 진흥계획」에 기반한 실무자 역량강화 프로그램으로, 향후 도민의 삶의 질을 높이는 공공디자인 정책과 사업 발굴의 초석이 될 것”이라고 덧붙였다.

He added, “This training program, grounded in the province’s independently formulated 2nd Public Design Promotion Plan, lays the foundation for discovering future public design policies and projects that enhance residents’ quality of life.”
