"Experiencing Italy's Sports System to Prepare for the Future of Gangwon Sports"

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho) announced that it will conduct overseas training in Italy for 36 outstanding school sports team coaches and administrative teachers from January 17 (Friday) to January 25 (Saturday), 2025, for a duration of 7 nights and 9 days.

This training program aims to directly experience the sports systems and training support methods of advanced countries, explore ways to apply them to the development of sports in Gangwon Province, and seek educational and human rights-friendly approaches to operating school sports teams.

The participants, consisting of 36 school sports team coaches and administrative teachers from the province, will engage in programs such as visiting sports facilities and training centers, networking with local sports experts, and attending sports events.

The main itinerary includes touring major Italian cities such as Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan to experience local sports-related facilities and advanced practices.

In particular, the training will feature visits to world-class sports facilities, including a tour of the Foro Italico Sports Complex in Rome, attending a match of ACF Fiorentina in Florence, and visiting AC Milan’s home stadium in Milan. Through these activities, participants will learn about sports coaching and training methods that can be applied to managing school sports teams in Gangwon Province.

Lee In-beom, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Special Education, stated, “This overseas training will be an opportunity to enhance the capabilities of coaches and provide new directions for educational and human rights-friendly school sports team operations,” adding, “We will continue to support the development of sports in Gangwon Province.”

강원특별자치도교육청(교육감 신경호)은 2025년1월 17일(금)부터 25일(토)까지 7박 9일간, 우수 학교 운동부 지도자 및 업무 담당 교사 36명을 대상으로 이탈리아 현지에서 해외연수를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

이번 연수는 선진국의 체육시스템과 훈련 지원 방식을 직접 체득하여 강원 체육 발전의 적용 방안을 모색하고, 교육적이고 인권친화적인 학교운동부 운영 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련되었다.

연수 참가자는 도내 학교 운동부 지도자와 업무 담당 교사 총 36명으로, 연수는 체육시설 및 훈련장 방문, 현지 체육 전문가와의 교류, 현지 경기 관람 등의 프로그램으로 구성된다.

주요 일정에는 로마, 피렌체, 베니스, 밀라노 등 이탈리아 주요 도시를 순회하며 각 지역의 체육 관련 시설과 선진 사례를 체험할 예정이다.

특히, 이번 연수에서는 로마의 포로 이탈리코 스포츠 단지 견학, 피렌체 ACF 피오렌티나 경기 관람, 밀라노 AC밀란 홈구장 견학 등 세계적 수준의 체육시설을 방문하며, 강원도 학교운동부 운영에 적용 가능한 체육 지도와 훈련 방식을 학습한다.

이인범 문화체육특수교육과장은 “이번 해외연수는 지도자들의 역량을 강화하고, 교육적·인권친화적인 학교운동부 운영을 위한 새로운 방향을 제시할 계기가 될 것이다”라며, “강원 체육의 발전을 위해 지속적으로 지원하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
