강삼영 강원도교육감 예비후보가 5일 어린이날을 맞아 춘천 일원에서 열린 다양한 기념행사에 참여하며 아이들과 특별한 시간을 보냈다.

이날 강 후보는 춘천 호반체육관에서 열린 어린이날 행사장을 시작으로 인형극장, KT&G 상상마당, 공지천 등 주요 행사장을 차례로 방문하며 현장의 분위기를 직접 체감했다. 행사장 곳곳은 가족 단위 방문객들로 북적였으며, 아이들의 웃음소리가 하루 종일 이어졌다.

특히 춘천교육대학교 일원에서 열린 행사에서는 강 후보가 딸 은비 양과 함께 각각 공룡과 유니콘 의상을 입고 등장해 눈길을 끌었다. 예상치 못한 ‘깜짝 등장’에 아이들은 환호성을 터뜨렸고, 학부모들 역시 웃음과 함께 사진 촬영에 나서는 등 현장은 한층 더 활기를 띠었다.

강 후보는 아이들과 눈을 맞추며 인사를 건네고, 함께 사진을 찍으며 자연스럽게 소통하는 시간을 가졌다. 단순한 행사 참석을 넘어 아이들과 같은 눈높이에서 교감하려는 모습이 인상적이었다는 평가다.

이어 “어린이 한 명 한 명이 존중받고 행복하게 성장할 수 있는 강원을 만드는 것이 교육의 가장 중요한 역할”이라며, 미래세대를 위한 교육정책 의지를 강조했다.

#Kang Sam-young, a preliminary candidate for Superintendent of Education in Gangwon Province, spent Children’s Day on May 5 engaging with families and children at various celebration venues across Chuncheon.

Starting at the main event held at Hoban Gymnasium, Kang visited multiple locations including a puppet theater, KT&G Sangsangmadang, and Gongji Stream, experiencing the festive atmosphere firsthand. The venues were filled with families, and children’s laughter echoed throughout the day.

A highlight of the day took place at an event near Chuncheon National University of Education, where Kang appeared wearing a dinosaur costume alongside his daughter, Eunbi, who dressed as a unicorn. Their unexpected appearance delighted children, drawing cheers and enthusiastic reactions, while parents eagerly captured the moment with photos.

Kang greeted children at eye level, shared smiles, and took pictures with them, demonstrating a genuine effort to connect beyond a formal political appearance. His approachable and playful interaction left a strong impression on attendees.

“Children’s smiles are the brightest hope of our society,” Kang said. “I will do my utmost to strengthen educational policies and environments so that every child can grow, dream, and play freely in their own unique way.”

He added, “Ensuring that every child is respected and can grow up happily is the most important mission of education,” emphasizing his commitment to future-oriented education policies.
