동해시, 9세 청소년 진입 인증식 개최… 청소년 첫걸음 응원

Donghae City Hosts “Age-9 Youth Entry Certification Ceremony”… Celebrating the First Step into Youth

동해시는 아동에서 청소년으로 첫 발을 내딛는 9세를 대상으로 「9세부터 시작하는 나의 청소년 여정」을 운영하고, 이를 기념하는 청소년 진입 인증식을 성황리에 개최했다.

Donghae City successfully held the “Youth Entry Certification Ceremony” as part of the program “My Youth Journey Starting at Age 9,” designed to mark the transition of children into youth.

이번 행사는 4월 18일 오후 2시부터 3시까지 동해시청소년센터 1층 공연장에서 진행됐으며, 교육발전특구 사업의 일환으로 추진됐다. 대상은 동해시에 주민등록이 되어 있는 9세 청소년(2017년 1월 1일부터 3월 31일 출생자)이다.

The event took place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on April 18 at the Donghae Youth Center auditorium. It was implemented as part of a Special Education Development Zone project and targeted 9-year-old youths registered as residents of Donghae City (born between January 1 and March 31, 2017).

이번 인증식은 청소년으로서의 시작을 공식적으로 알리고 그 의미를 되새기기 위해 마련됐으며, 참가 청소년들은 인증서를 직접 수여받으며 또래와 함께 뜻깊은 시간을 보냈다. 행사장에는 가족과 관계자들이 함께해 따뜻한 축하 분위기를 더했다.

The ceremony was designed to officially recognize the beginning of youth and reflect on its significance. Participating youths received their certificates in person, sharing a meaningful moment with their peers. Families and officials also attended, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere.

인증식과 함께 만들기 체험, 청소년증 사진 촬영 등 청소년의 눈높이에 맞춘 다양한 프로그램이 운영되며 청소년 활동에 대한 관심을 자연스럽게 높였다.

In addition to the certification ceremony, various youth-friendly programs—such as craft activities and youth ID photo sessions—were offered, naturally enhancing interest in youth activities.

동해시는 이번 1분기 대상자를 시작으로 올해 분기별 인증식을 순차적으로 개최해 관내 모든 9세 청소년이 빠짐없이 인증을 받을 수 있도록 사업을 지속 추진할 계획이다.

Starting with the first-quarter participants, Donghae City plans to continue the program by holding quarterly ceremonies throughout the year, ensuring that all eligible 9-year-olds receive their certification.

#천수정 체육교육과장은 “9세는 청소년 정책의 시작점으로서 매우 중요한 시기인 만큼, 이번 인증식을 통해 청소년으로서의 정체성을 인식하고 향후 다양한 활동에 적극 참여하는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Cheon Soo-jung, Head of the Sports and Education Division, stated, “Age 9 is a crucial starting point for youth policy. We hope this ceremony helps young participants recognize their identity as youths and encourages them to actively engage in various activities in the future.”

동해시는 앞으로도 청소년의 성장 단계에 맞춘 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영해 청소년 친화도시 조성에 기여할 계획이다.
