동해시가 어린이 이용시설 종사자를 대상으로 안전교육을 실시하며 어린이 안전사고 대응 역량 강화에 나섰다.

Donghae City has launched safety training for workers at child-related facilities to strengthen their ability to respond to child safety accidents.

동해시는 4월 16일, 행정안전부가 주관하는 ‘어린이 이용시설 종사자 안전교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

The city announced that it conducted the “Safety Training for Child Facility Workers” on April 16, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

이번 교육은 어린이집, 도서관, 아동보육센터 등 어린이 이용시설 종사자를 대상으로 진행됐으며, 응급상황 발생 시 신속하고 정확한 대응 능력을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

The training targeted workers at facilities such as daycare centers, libraries, and childcare centers, aiming to enhance rapid and accurate responses in emergency situations.

교육 내용은 ▲응급상황 행동요령 ▲주요 내·외과적 응급처치 이론 ▲영아·유아·소아 대상 기도폐쇄 대처방법 ▲심폐소생술 실습 등 실질적인 대응 역량 강화에 초점을 맞췄다.

The program focused on practical response skills, including ▲emergency response procedures ▲basic theory of medical and surgical first aid ▲airway obstruction response for infants and children ▲hands-on CPR training.

해당 교육은 「어린이 안전관리에 관한 법률」에 따른 법정 의무교육으로, 행정안전부와 위탁교육기관인 한국보육진흥원이 협력해 무료로 진행됐다.

This training is a mandatory program under the Child Safety Management Act and was provided free of charge through cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Childcare Promotion Institute.

올해 교육은 총 3회에 걸쳐 운영되며, 이날 1회차 교육을 시작으로 5월 28일과 9월 4일 추가 교육이 이어질 예정이다.

The program will be held three times this year, starting with the first session on this day, followed by additional sessions on May 28 and September 4.

동해시는 지난해 어린이 관련 시설 종사자 548명이 해당 교육을 이수하는 등 어린이 안전사고 예방과 대응 역량 강화를 위해 지속적인 노력을 기울이고 있다.

Last year, 548 workers from child-related facilities completed the training, demonstrating the city’s ongoing commitment to preventing child safety accidents and strengthening response capabilities.

#이인섭 안전과장은 “어린이 안전사고는 예방뿐 아니라 초기 대응이 매우 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 실습 중심 교육을 확대해 더욱 안전한 동해시를 만들어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Lee In-seop, head of the Safety Division, stated, “In child safety accidents, not only prevention but also prompt initial response is crucial,” adding, “We will continue to expand hands-on training to build a safer Donghae City.”
