“비만 잡는다더니 10곳으로 확대”…강릉, 초등생 ‘건강 혁명’ 시작됐다

강릉시는 돌봄시설 아동을 대상으로 운영 중인 ‘건강한 돌봄놀이터’ 프로그램을 기존 4개소에서 올해 총 10개소로 확대 운영한다.

Gangneung City announced that it will expand its “Healthy Care Playground” program, currently operated for children in care facilities, from 4 locations to a total of 10 this year.

‘건강한 돌봄놀이터’는 건강 습관이 형성되는 시기인 초등학교 1~2학년 아동을 대상으로 하는 맞춤형 건강증진 프로그램이다.

The “Healthy Care Playground” is a customized health promotion program designed for first- and second-grade elementary school students, a critical period when healthy habits are formed.

프로그램은 아이들의 눈높이에 맞춰 놀이형 신체활동과 흥미 유발형 영양 교육으로 구성되며, 사업의 효과를 높이기 위해 사전·사후 신체 계측 및 건강 행태 변화 측정도 함께 진행된다.

The program consists of play-based physical activities and engaging nutrition education tailored to children’s level, and includes pre- and post-program physical measurements and assessments of behavioral changes to enhance its effectiveness.

올해 확대된 프로그램은 상·하반기로 나뉘어 체계적으로 운영된다. 상반기(4월~7월)에는 선정된 지역아동센터 및 다함께돌봄센터 6개소에서 먼저 프로그램을 시작하며, 하반기(9월~11월)에는 초등돌봄교실 4개소를 추가로 모집해 진행할 계획이다.

The expanded program will be systematically operated in two phases. In the first half of the year (April to July), it will begin at six selected community child centers and integrated care centers. In the second half (September to November), four additional elementary after-school care classes will be recruited to participate.

#김유영 건강증진과장은 “성장기 아동의 건강한 습관 형성은 평생 건강의 기초가 되는 만큼 매우 중요한 시기”라고 강조하며, “돌봄시설과 연계한 유익한 놀이형 프로그램을 통해 우리 아이들이 스스로 올바른 생활습관을 기르고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.

Kim Yu-young, head of the Health Promotion Division, emphasized that “forming healthy habits during childhood is a crucial foundation for lifelong health,” adding, “We will actively support children to develop proper lifestyle habits and grow healthily through beneficial play-based programs linked with care facilities.”
