동해시, 2026년 청년도전지원사업 참가자 모집

동해시는 2026년에도 청년들의 자신감 회복과 사회 진입 역량 강화를 지원하기 위해 청년도전지원사업을 지속 추진하며, 오는 12월 15일부터 참가자 모집에 나선다.

청년도전지원사업은 고용노동부가 지원하는 국비 사업으로, 취업과 사회 진입에 어려움을 겪는 청년들에게 취·창업 역량 강화, 심리 회복, 진로 탐색 등 맞춤형 종합 프로그램을 제공하는 체계적 지원 사업이다.

동해시는 2024년 해당 사업을 처음 도입한 이후,

▲2024년 54명 ▲2025년 96명의 청년이 참여하는 등 해마다 높은 호응을 얻으며 지역 청년 정책의 대표 모델로 자리 잡고 있다.

모집 대상은 만 18세 이상 45세 이하 청년으로, 최근 6개월 이상 취업 경험이 없고 사업자등록이 없는 청년이면 신청할 수 있다. 접수는 온라인 신청 또는 동해시청년도전지원센터 방문 접수를 통해 가능하다.

특히, 5주 과정 이수 시 50만 원의 취업장려금이 지급되며, 프로그램 수료 후 취업해 3개월 이상 근속할 경우 취업근속수당도 추가로 지원된다.

프로그램은 단기·중기·장기 과정으로 구성되어 있으며, 청년 개개인의 상황과 목표에 맞춰 선택할 수 있도록 설계됐다. 기수별·과정별 상시 모집 방식으로 운영돼, 참여를 희망하는 청년은 언제든 상담을 통해 원하는 과정에 참여할 수 있다.

참여 청년들은 ▲자신감 회복 ▲구직기술 습득 ▲창업 기초 교육 등 단계별 프로그램을 통해 실질적인 성장을 경험하게 되며, 그동안 다수의 참여자가 실제 취업으로 연계되는 성과를 거두고 있다.

Donghae City Opens Applications for the 2026 Youth Challenge Support Program

Supporting Youth Confidence Recovery and Social Entry Starting December 15

Donghae City announced that it will continue the Youth Challenge Support Program in 2026 to help young people restore confidence and strengthen their ability to enter society, with applications opening on December 15.

The program, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a comprehensive and customized support initiative designed for young people facing difficulties in employment and social participation. It provides integrated programs including job and startup competency training, psychological recovery, and career exploration.

Since its introduction in 2024, the program has gained strong positive responses, with 54 participants in 2024 and 96 participants in 2025, establishing itself as a flagship youth policy in Donghae City.

Eligibility is open to young people aged 18 to 45 who have had no employment experience for at least six months and do not hold a business registration. Applications can be submitted online or in person at the Donghae Youth Challenge Support Center.

Participants receive KRW 500,000 in employment incentives for every five-week course completed, and those who secure employment and remain in the job for more than three months are also eligible for an additional employment retention allowance.

The program is offered in short-term, mid-term, and long-term courses, allowing participants to choose based on their personal circumstances and goals. Recruitment is conducted by cohort and course, enabling interested applicants to join their preferred program at any time through consultation.

Through step-by-step programs focused on confidence recovery, job-search skills, and basic startup education, participants experience tangible personal growth. Program outcomes show that many participants have successfully transitioned into employment.

“The Youth Challenge Support Program is not just an educational initiative, but a growth platform that helps young people believe in their own potential and take on new challenges,” adding,

“We hope many young people will discover new career paths and possibilities through this opportunity.”
