동해해수청, 추석 연휴 대비 항로표지시설 안전점검 실시

동해지방해양수산청(청장 김채균)은 추석 연휴를 대비하여 해양사고 예방을 위해 주요 항로표지시설 23개소를 대상으로 안전점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

The Donghae Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries (Director Kim Chae-kyun) announced that it will conduct safety inspections on 23 major aids to navigation facilities to prevent maritime accidents during the upcoming Chuseok holidays.

이번 점검은 9월 17일부터 26일까지 진행되며, 여객선 항로 인근의 항로표지를 집중 점검하여 해양사고를 사전에 예방하고, 주요 관광지인 등대해양문화공간의 시설물 안전도 함께 확인할 예정이다.

The inspections, scheduled from September 17 to 26, will focus on aids to navigation located along passenger ship routes to prevent maritime accidents in advance, while also checking the safety of facilities at lighthouse maritime cultural spaces, which are popular tourist attractions.

특히 묵호·주문진·속초 등대 해양문화공간을 대상으로 전망대, 안전난간대, 배수로 등 다중이용시설의 안전상태를 중점적으로 점검한다.

In particular, the inspection will place emphasis on multi-use facilities such as observatories, safety railings, and drainage systems at lighthouse maritime cultural spaces in Mukho, Jumunjin, and Sokcho, which attract large numbers of visitors.

안전점검 과정에서 발견된 문제점과 결함은 현장에서 즉시 보완·개선하는 것을 원칙으로 하며, 점검 결과는 향후 항로표지 관리에 반영해 보다 안전한 해양교통 환경을 조성할 계획이다.

Any issues or defects identified during the inspections will be addressed and corrected on site as a matter of principle. The results of the inspections will also be reflected in future management of aids to navigation, helping to establish a safer maritime traffic environment.

동해지방해양수산청 관계자는 “즐거운 명절 연휴를 맞아 국민들이 안심하고 휴식과 여행을 즐길 수 있도록 안전한 해양교통 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
