March 24 (Monday): Seminar on Strategies for Local Businesses to Enter the Middle Eastern MarketWonju City is actively working to diversify its export markets to enhance stability and respond to external variables, as its exports are currently concentrated in seven major countries.

Leveraging the popularity of cosmetics and K-FOOD, the city plans to dispatch a trade delegation in the first half of the year to introduce outstanding local food and beverage products, as well as beauty devices, to the Middle Eastern market.

Before launching the full-fledged trade delegation program, the city hosted the "Seminar on Strategies for Local Businesses to Enter the Middle Eastern Market" on March 24 at 2:00 PM in the 10th-floor conference room of City Hall.

At this seminar, Kim Ho-jin, Chief Executive Officer of Elpis Corporation, who has extensive experience as a procurement and purchasing officer at local companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is recognized as an expert in the Middle Eastern market, delivered a lecture.

원주시는 상위 7개국에 집중된 원주시 수출의 안정성을 높이고 대외적 변수에 대응하기 위해 수출시장 다변화에 적극적으로 나선다.

시는 화장품과 K-FOOD 열풍에 힘입어 상반기 해외시장개척단을 파견해, 관내 우수한 식음료 및 미용기기 등을 중동시장에 선보일 계획이다.

본격적인 해외시장개척단 운영에 앞서, 오는 24일 오후 2시 시청 10층 대회의실에서 ‘관내 기업 중동진출 전략 세미나’를 개최했다.

이번 세미나에서는 중동 아랍에미리트(UAE) 현지 기업에서 조달과 구매 담당자로 경력을 쌓고 중동시장 전문가로 통하는 김호진 엘피스코퍼레이션㈜ 총괄이사가 강연을 진행했다.
