Gangneung City has released a Gangneung Cherry Blossom Spots Map, raising expectations for the upcoming cherry blossom festival.

The map highlights nine scenic locations from Jumunjin to Okgye, allowing visitors to enjoy cherry blossoms throughout the city—from Hyangho in Jumunjin to the Okgye area.

Among the newly introduced hidden cherry blossom spots are Hongje Water Purification Plant, Hwabusan Mountain, and the Namdaecheon River area. These once-local secrets are expected to draw an influx of visitors, transforming them into popular cherry blossom destinations.

The Heo Gyun & Heo Nanseolheon Memorial Park offers a serene atmosphere where visitors can experience the harmony of cherry blossoms and literary heritage.

For those eager to see the earliest cherry blossoms in the city, Solol Blossom in Gyo 1-dong is the place to visit. Additionally, the Namsan Cherry Blossom Festival in Gangnam-dong will be held in early April, providing the perfect backdrop for capturing stunning cherry blossom tunnel photos.

At Gyeongpo, Gangneung’s most famous cherry blossom destination, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Gyeongpo Lake adorned with cherry blossoms. Special cherry blossom lighting and photo zones will be set up to allow visitors to appreciate the beauty of cherry blossoms even at night.

The 2025 Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival will take place for six days in early April at Gyeongpo Wetland Plaza. Under the theme “Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Ping”, various activities such as personalized cherry blossom experiences, cherry blossom picnics, and flea markets will be offered to welcome spring travelers.

Eom Geum-moon, Director of the Tourism Policy Division, stated, “By introducing Gangneung’s iconic cherry blossom spots, we expect to attract many visitors. We hope everyone discovers the hidden cherry blossom gems across Gangneung and creates beautiful memories.”

꽃샘추위가 지나고 봄 내음이 물씬 다가온 3월, 강릉시에서 강릉 벚꽃 명소 지도를 공개하여 다가올 벚꽃 축제에 한껏 기대감을 심었다.

‘강릉 벚꽃 명소 지도’는 주문진부터 옥계까지 관내 총 9곳의 명소를 선정해 아름다운 강릉의 봄을 소개하고 있어, 강릉을 찾아온 관광객들은 주문진 향호부터 옥계면 일원까지 강릉 전체에서 벚꽃을 감상할 수 있다.

특히 숨겨진 벚꽃 명소로 ‘홍제정수장’, ‘화부산’, ‘남대천 일원’이 소개되어 지역주민만 알던 소소한 명소가 많은 관광객들이 찾는 벚꽃 명소로 확대되어 방문객이 붐빌 것으로 기대된다.

허균허난설헌 기념공원은 고즈넉한 분위기 속에서 벚꽃과 문학적 유산의 아름다움 공존해 방한 관광객에게 새로운 분위기를 제공하고,

도심에서 가장 빨리 벚꽃을 만날 수 있는 교1동의‘솔올블라썸’, 분홍빛 벚꽃 터널 인생샷을 남길 수 있는 강남동의‘남산 벚꽃 축제’는 4월 초에 개최할 예정이다.

강릉 대표 벚꽃 명소로 유명한 경포대에서는 탁 트인 경포호수와 함께 벚꽃을 즐기며 벚꽃 조명 및 포토존을 설치해 야간에도 수려한 벚꽃을 감상할 수 있다.

또한, 이번 ‘2025 경포 벚꽃 축제’는 4월 초순에 6일간 경포 습지광장에서 개최된다. ‘경포벚꽃핑’을 테마로 나만의 벚꽃핑을 찾아 떠나는 체험프로그램, 벚꽃피크닉, 플리마켓 등 다양한 프로그램을 준비해 상춘객 맞이에 힘쓰고 있다.

엄금문 관광정책과장은 “강릉 대표 벚꽃 명소를 소개하여 많은 관광객이 방문할 것으로 기대된다.”라며, “강릉 곳곳의 숨겨진 벚꽃 명소를 찾아 아름다운 벚꽃의 추억을 남기시길 바란다.”라고 밝혔다.
