첫 단독관 운영, 역대 최대 기업 미국 CES 참가 - 강원특별자치도,「2025년 CES 강원관」개관

강원특별자치도(도지사 김진태, 이하 ‘도’)는 미국 라스베가스에서 열리는‘CES 2025’에서 첫 단독관인 강원관을 개관했다.

CES(Consumer Electronics Show)는 CTA(미국소비자기술협회)가 주관하는 세계 3대 ICT 박람회 중 하나로, 2024년 기준 150여 개국, 4,300여 개 업체가 참가하고 약 14만 명이 관람한 글로벌 전시회다.

CES 2025 강원관 개관식은 1월 8일 오전 11시(미 현지시간), 정광열 경제부지사, 원강수 원주시장, 정재연 강원대 총장, 김용승 가톨릭관동대 총장 및 초청 바이어 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 베네시안 엑스포 1층에서 개최됐다.

CES (Consumer Electronics Show), organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is one of the world's top three ICT exhibitions. As of 2024, it hosted over 4,300 exhibitors from 150+ countries and attracted approximately 140,000 visitors.

The opening ceremony for the Gangwon Pavilion at CES 2025 took place at 11:00 AM (local time) on January 8 at the Venetian Expo, Level 1.

The event was attended by over 100 participants, including Jeong Gwang-yeol, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, Won Gang-su, Mayor of Wonju, Jeong Jae-yeon, President of Kangwon National University, Kim Yong-seung, President of Catholic Kwandong University, and invited buyers.

The Gangwon Pavilion is located in Eureka Park, the startup innovation hub of CES, and spans 1,200 square feet (approximately 33 pyeong). It features 10 corporate booths and a promotional area highlighting

Through this CES participation, the Province aims to achieve various economic "Gangwon: A Global Future City." outcomes, including attracting foreign investment, strengthening partnerships with global companies, and expanding exports for local businesses.

At the event, the Province plans to actively promote the outstanding products and technologies of Gangwon-based companies, fully supporting business meetings and export contract consultations with overseas buyers.

In his opening speech, Deputy Governor Jeong Gwang-yeol stated, “The opening of the Gangwon Pavilion marks a new milestone for local innovative companies seeking to enter the global market. We will spare no effort in showcasing Gangwon's exceptional technological prowess on this world-class stage and in generating tangible business outcomes with international buyers.”

CES 2025에 마련된‘강원관’은 스타트업의 혁신 기술을 선보이는 유레카파크(Eureka Park)에 위치하며, 1,200스퀘어피트(약 33평) 규모로 10개 기업 부스와‘글로벌 미래도시 강원’홍보관으로 구성되었다.

도는 이번 CES 참가를 통해 ▲해외 투자 유치 ▲글로벌 기업과의 협력 강화 ▲도내 기업 수출 확대 등 다양한 경제적 성과를 기대하고 있다. 특히, CES 현장에서 도내 기업의 우수한 제품과 기술을 적극 홍보하고, 해외 바이어와의 비즈니스 미팅과 수출 계약 상담 등을 전폭적으로 지원할 계획이다.

정광열 경제부지사는 개관식 축사에서 “이번 강원관 개관은 도내 혁신 기업들의 글로벌 시장 진출을 위한 새로운 이정표가 될 것”이라며, “CES라는 세계적인 무대를 통해 강원특별자치도의 뛰어난 기술력을 알리고, 해외 바이어와의 실질적인 비즈니스 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 아낌없이 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
