The Gangwon Film Commission, a subsidiary of the Gangwon Cultural Foundation (CEO Shin Hyun-sang, Chairperson Lee Myung-woo), announced the 2025 Gangwon Video and Content Industry Integrated Project Briefing to be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 2 PM in the multipurpose hall of Wonju City Hall.

This integrated briefing is aimed at revitalizing the video and content industries in Gangwon Province and will be co-hosted by the Gangwon Film Commission and the Gangwon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency.

The event will include:

An introduction to both organizations,

An overview of 2025 initiatives,

A Q&A session with project managers, and

On-site copyright consulting services for related organizations and creators in the province's video and content industries.

Despite challenging circumstances in 2024, the Gangwon Film Commission achieved significant milestones, including securing 110 filming projects—ranking second among 15 regional film commissions nationwide. Furthermore, through its support for video content creation and the Gangwon Film School program, many works were produced that successfully participated in and won awards at major domestic film festivals.

Additionally, the commission attracted 25,341 viewers through local film festival support, premiere screenings, and film talk events. It also accomplished:

The development of three region-specific content projects,

Three content advancement support initiatives,

Marketing support for five content companies, and

The creation of 11 content IPs.

Notably, Scent of Sound (CEO Park So-hyun) from the Gangneung area was recognized with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for its contribution to the development of the local content industry under the Gangwon Content Company Growth Advancement Support Project.

Shin Hyun-sang, CEO of the Gangwon Cultural Foundation, stated, “Through this project briefing, we aim to share the direction for 2025 initiatives, communicate changes to existing projects and new developments, and ensure smooth implementation by providing ongoing support.”

강원문화재단(대표이사 신현상) 부설 강원영상위원회(위원장 이명우)는 2025년 1월 22일(수) 오후 2시, 원주시청 다목적홀에서 ‘2025 강원 영상 및 콘텐츠 분야 통합 사업설명회’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 통합 사업설명회는 강원 영상산업 및 콘텐츠산업 활성화를 목적으로, 강원영상위원회와 강원정보문화산업진흥원이 협력하여 공동으로 개최한다.

행사에서는 도내 영상산업 및 콘텐츠산업 관련 단체와 창작자를 대상으로 양 기관의 소개, 2025년 추진사업 안내, 사업 담당자 질의응답, 찾아가는 저작권 상담 등이 진행될 예정이다.

강원영상위원회는 2024년 어려운 여건 속에서도 110건의 촬영 유치를 통해 전국 15개 지역영상위원회 중 두 번째로 높은 촬영 유치 실적을 기록했다.

또한, 강원 영상콘텐츠 창작 지원과 강원영화학교 운영 사업을 통해 제작된 작품들이 국내 주요 영화제에 진출하거나 수상하는 등 의미 있는 성과를 거두었다.

이와 함께, 도내 영화제 지원 사업 및 시사회․영화 토크 개최를 통해 25,341명의 관람객을 유치했으며, 지역특화 콘텐츠 개발 3건, 고도화 지원 3건, 콘텐츠 기업 홍보 마케팅 지원 5건, 콘텐츠IP 11개를 개발했다.

특히, 강릉지역의 센트오브사운드(대표 박소현)는 강원 콘텐츠 기업 성장 고도화 지원 사업을 통해 지역 콘텐츠산업 발전에 기여한 공로로 문화체육관광부장관 표창을 수상하였다.

강원문화재단 신현상 대표이사는 “이번 사업설명회를 통해 2025년도 사업 방향성을 공유하고, 기존 사업의 변경 사항과 신규 사업에 대해 소통하며 원활한 추진을 위해 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
